Chapter 3405
-Elisa remarked, “I hope our future children will be as well-behaved and adorable as your niece, Avah. I would love to have a daughter like her.”
It’s no surprise that she adored Avah; anyone who had met or cared for her would feel the same way.

Avah was undeniably becoming cuter. Each morning, she would wake up, lie on her bed, and play by herself, or simply sit and observe her surroundings.
At six or seven months old, Avah was very calm and quiet.
This was in stark contrast to Enzo, who would wake up and shout loudly, ensuring everyone in the room was aware of his presence.
Remy took Elisa’s hand, smiled, and said, “Our family is quite similar to the Yorks, which means the likelihood of us having a daughter is quite low. My eldest brother has a daughter, but it seems we brothers will likely have sons when we marry. There appears to be only one girl in each generation.”
Elisa asked, “So no one has broken the pattern?”
Remy pondered for a moment before responding, “Well, throughout the generations, even when daughters were born, there was only one. In our generation, we have none. My grandmother, much like Grandma York, has longed for a granddaughter as if she were a precious star in the sky. She never expected to have a granddaughter, but now she has Avah, and she couldn’t be happier.
Although the chances of our family having a daughter are slim, it is still better than the York family’s situation. At least we have the potential for a daughter. In contrast, the York family has not had a daughter for several generations. Looking back through the years, even if we do have a daughter, we may not be able to raise her.”
Historically, the York family’s financial situation had always been stable, but their ancestors only produced daughters in limited numbers.
but couldn’t support her.
Was it a case of a fortune-teller’s prediction, or was it simply fate that they had no daughter?
Remy remarked, “Perhaps they were meant not to have a daughter. It just so happened that two individuals destined not to have a daughter came together, but they couldn’t have one. Even with scientific intervention to fulfill that wish, unforeseen circumstances could arise, and you might lose your daughter. It’s better to accept your fate than to have it and then lose it.”
Elisa responded, “However, Seren’s situation will be different. The fortune-teller said that Seren and Zachary are destined to be husband and wife in this life, and they are also meant to have both a son and a daughter.”
Remy smiled and replied, “Yes, Serenity will indeed have both a son and a daughter. Our entire family is eagerly awaiting the arrival of your cousin’s children. We’re just worried that Grandma York might swoop in during the night and take our Avah away.”
Even someone as serious as Zachary would soften when he looked at Avah. When he held her, he was incredibly gentle, concerned that she might feel uncomfortable or fall.
Elisa laughed, saying, “Grandma York certainly knows how to make things happen. She may be a mischievous old woman, but everyone respects and adores her.”
In the past, when the Stone and York families were at odds, her siblings would always show respect and politeness to Grandma York when they encountered her, and even her mother acted the same way.
As they chatted, they soon reached Elisa’s car. Remy asked, “Do you want to drive, or should I?”
Elisa had already opened the driver’s door. Upon hearing Remy’s question, she walked around the car and said, “You drive. I’d like to enjoy the scenery.”
Remy replied, “Alright.”
