“Stop this right now!” a loud voice echoed in the room. A group of men in suits, armed to the teeth, entered the space.

“Who are you? How dare you come into the interrogation room without permission! Are you trying to start a riot?” Mr. Gardner shouted angrily, his fury boiling over.

He could only think of tearing Dustin apart, and anyone who got in his way would become his enemy too.

“Mr. Gardner, what an honor to see you!” a beautiful woman in high heels walked in, causing the crowd to part.

“Natasha?” Mr. Gardner’s anger faded when he recognized her.

“You’re lucky, Dustin. Your girlfriend is here to save you,” Dahlia said sarcastically upon seeing Natasha. She felt both relieved and annoyed. As Dustin’s ex-wife, she didn’t want to feel indebted to another woman.

But sadly, Natasha was the only one who could help Dustin now.

“Ms. Harmon, what are you doing at the police station this late with your men? What is going on?” Mr. Gardner moved to block their path.

“Hmph! Are you really questioning me? You brought people in without a fair trial. Is this how the police work?” Natasha replied with a scoff.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Mr. Gardner said, sounding unsure.

“Don’t understand? Fine, I’ll be clear. I’m here to demand the release of my man. Let Dustin go right now, or you will regret it!”

Natasha demanded, “Let him go? This man is a wanted criminal with clear evidence against him. Are you really going to make me release him? Aren’t you going against the law?”

Mr. Gardner felt a rush of anger. Just moments ago, Dustin had beaten him badly, and he couldn’t let that humiliation slide. Offending Natasha felt like a small price to pay for a chance at revenge on Dustin.

“How dare you lecture me about the law!” Natasha shot back. “Don’t you see how hypocritical you sound? I could easily expose all your shady dealings. Let him go now if you want to keep everything hidden!”

“Natasha, don’t push me!” Mr. Gardner warned, his face darkening.

Chapter 103

“I know the Harmon family has power, but I have my rights! This is my territory, and that man is a criminal under my jurisdiction. You have no right to interfere!” Mr. Gardner insisted.

“How about me? Do I have a right to interfere?” Hunter walked into the interrogation room, flanked by his men. His commanding presence made everyone step back.

“What? This kid knows Mr. Anderson?” Draco gasped in shock. He had a hard time believing Mr. Gardner before, but seeing it unfold made him realize how serious things were.

“Wow, even Mr. Anderson is here. Looks like Natasha really can’t live without you,” Dahlia said sarcastically.

“Mr. Anderson, what brings you here?” Mr. Gardner frowned. Handling Natasha was one thing, but with Hunter involved, things could get messy.

“If I hadn’t come, would you have listened to reason?” Hunter snapped back, clearly irritated.

“I told you during our last call. Just give me some time to check this out. If there’s a mistake, I will let him go right away.” Mr. Gardner tried to escape the situation.

“I don’t have time to waste talking to you. Let Dustin go now!” Hunter demanded, his patience running thin.

Everyone knew about the corrupt ways of the police inspector. If they waited for the investigation to finish, Dustin might be dead by then.

“As an inspector, it’s my job to catch wanted criminals and keep the peace in the city. I don’t see anything wrong with what I’m doing,” Mr. Gardner argued.

“Mr. Gardner, I’m giving you one last chance. Let him go now, or you’ll face serious consequences!” Hunter warned, not backing down.

“Are you threatening me, Mr. Anderson? Don’t you realize the risks of going against the police?” Mr. Gardner glared at him.

“I don’t care about the risks. If you don’t let Dustin go, I’ll tear this building down!” Hunter shot back.

Mr. Gardner’s face turned red with anger. He never thought Natasha and Hunter would be so stubborn. Why were they going to such lengths for someone like Dustin? Didn’t they know that Mr. Granville was his father-in-law?

What was wrong with them? They wouldn’t even budge an inch.

“Mr. Anderson, don’t say I didn’t warn you. It’s a crime that you barged into the interrogation room without permission. If Mr. Granville finds out, it will be a nightmare for you!” Mr. Gardner quickly brought up his father-in-law.

“What the hell!” Hunter lost his cool and punched Mr. Gardner in the face. “I told you to let him go! Why all the excuses?”

“You—How dare you hit me!” Mr. Gardner exclaimed, shocked.

“Me?” Mr. Gardner exclaimed, holding his burning cheek in shock.

He was Mr. Granville’s son-in-law and a police inspector. Given his connection to Mr. Granville, he thought people would know better than to provoke him. Were they really going to go against Mr. Granville?

“What’s wrong with slapping you? If you say one more word, I’ll put a bullet through your skull!” Hunter shouted, pulling out his pistol and pressing the barrel against Mr. Gardner’s forehead.

“Wh-What are you trying to do? Stop messing around!” Mr. Gardner stammered, cold sweat trickling down his forehead. He never thought Hunter would pull out a gun in the police station. Had he lost his mind? This was a serious disrespect to the law.

“What is going on? When did Mr. Anderson become so reckless?” Natasha wondered as she saw the gun. She knew Hunter to be calm and composed, always good-natured no matter the situation. What was happening to him today? He was angry, had slapped someone, and was now threatening a man with a gun. If it were his own son who had been kidnapped, Hunter might not have even reacted this way.

“I’m going to count to five. You’ll face the consequences if you don’t release Dustin!” Hunter warned, his face still relaxed.

“Mr. Anderson! I’m Mr. Granville’s son-in-law! Are you really going to defy him?” Mr. Gardner shouted in disbelief.

“Five, four…” Hunter began counting.

“Hunter! What’s wrong with you? If you touch a hair on my head, Mr. Granville will never forgive you!” Mr. Gardner’s legs shook like leaves in the wind.

“Three, two, one!”
