An Understated Dominance - Chapter 107
“Duane, come out and face me!”
Dustin’s angry shout echoed through the villa like thunder.
When Duane heard this challenge, he was filled with rage.
“Who is causing trouble on my property?” he thought as he rushed outside.
But when he saw Dustin in the distance, he was taken aback.
“It’s you, Dustin! I thought you were arrested! How did you escape?”
Duane had paid Mr. Gardner to arrest Dustin and keep him in the interrogation room. There was no way Natasha could have helped him get out.
“Did you frame me for the crime?” Dustin asked coldly.
“Now that you’re here, you must know the answer. Yes, I framed you! But you only have yourself to blame. I had to do it because you didn’t appreciate the chances I gave you,” Duane smirked.
“At least you admitted your crime. Here’s your chance to make things right: if you hurt yourself and leave Swinton for good, I won’t take revenge on you,” Dustin said indifferently.
“Hurt myself? Leave Swinton?”
Duane was stunned at first, but then he burst out laughing.
“Have you lost your mind? Who do you think you are? If it weren’t for Natasha, do you really think you could stand here and threaten me?”
Duane figured that somehow Natasha had found a way to save Dustin.
“If that’s the case, you’re not going to comply?” Dustin’s face grew serious.
“Kid, it seems you don’t understand the situation.”
strength?” Duane stammered, his confidence shattered.
Dustin simply shrugged, a calm smile on his face. “I’m just someone who knows how to train properly.”
Duane shook his head in disbelief. “This isn’t possible! You should have been cut in half!”
“But I wasn’t,” Dustin replied, still unfazed by Duane’s shock. “You relied too much on your sword skills. There’s more to fighting than just brute strength.”
Duane took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. “Okay, maybe I underestimated you. But I won’t give up that easily!”
With a determined look, Duane reached for another sword hidden at his side, but Dustin quickly raised a hand. “You don’t need another weapon. Let’s settle this fairly.”
“Fairly?” Duane scoffed, still trying to regain his composure. “After that display, you have no idea what you’re asking for.”
Dustin nodded. “I know. But if you want to prove yourself, then fight me without any tricks.”
Duane hesitated, weighing his options. Finally, he lowered his weapon. “Fine, let’s do it your way.”
As they squared off, the tension in the air thickened. Both knew this would be a fight to remember.
