An Understated Dominance - Chapter 108
Duane shouted in fear, sweat trickling down his back.
As a skilled martial artist, Duane was famous for his quick and powerful moves. At his best, the energy from his sword could move mountains! So how was Dustin able to block his attack? What kind of monster could break swords with just his hands? Dustin couldn’t be human!
“Don’t you know who I am?” Dustin said, stepping closer and glaring with icy eyes.
“Stay away!” Duane panicked, backing up. “I don’t need the gemiphen’s prescription anymore. Please let me go!”
“I offered you a chance to make things right, but you didn’t take it. Now it’s too late to regret!” Dustin said as he grabbed Duane’s shoulders and squeezed tightly.
With a loud crack, Duane felt his arms pop out of their joints. Pain shot through his body, and he let out a terrible scream. Without hesitating, Dustin punched him in the stomach. The force of the blow caused serious internal injuries, and Duane began to bleed heavily.
He collapsed on the ground, unable to move. “You’ve made me a cripple!” he gritted his teeth, his eyes filled with rage.
“Because of Mr. Anderson, I won’t kill you. But you will pay for your crimes!” Dustin said as he grabbed Duane by the collar and tossed him into the air. Duane’s limp body crashed against the main doors of his villa.
Just then, Hunter walked in with his men, a serious look on his face.
“Hunter! Save me, quick!” Duane cried, clinging to Hunter as if he were his only hope.
“Save you? You should be grateful that I didn’t take your life!” Hunter laughed mockingly. “But don’t get too comfortable. You’ll be locked up in Azkaban for the rest of your days to pay for your crimes!”
“Azkaban?” Duane looked terrified. “What are you talking about? I am a direct descendant of the Welch family, one of the most important families in Swinton. You’re nothing compared to me! How dare you threaten to send me to Azkaban?”
Chapter 108
Azkaban was a prison for the worst criminals. Once someone was sent there, they could never escape. The prisoners there were as good as dead.
“This decision was made by the patriarch of the Welch family. Your father agreed to it too,” Hunter said calmly.
“No! You’re lying! Why would my father betray me?” Duane shook his head in disbelief.
“It’s because you’ve offended Mr. Rhys. The only way to protect the Welch family was to sacrifice you,” Hunter replied plainly.
“Mr. Rhys? You mean Dustin?” Duane’s eyes widened in shock. “How could the Welch family be afraid of a young punk like him? Who exactly is he?”
“Dustin Rhys is just a name he uses. Ten years ago, he went by the name of Logan,” Hunter explained.
“What?”
“Logan Rhys,” Hunter repeated.
“Logan Rhys?” The color drained from Duane’s face when he heard Dustin’s real name. No wonder the Welch family was so afraid.
Logan Rhys, known as the kirin, was a legendary martial artist with unmatched skills. Just hearing his name struck fear into everyone in Stonia.
How could Duane have angered such a powerful person by mistake?
