An Understated Dominance - Chapter 121
“Why are you here?” Dahlia was taken aback to see Dustin. Her surprise deepened when she noticed the beautiful woman standing next to him, causing a wave of jealousy to wash over her.
“Is Natasha not enough for him? Does he need more women?” Dahlia thought, feeling frustrated.
“Men are all playboys after all!” she concluded in her mind.
“Dustin, do you two know each other?” Ruth asked, glancing between them, sensing the tension.
“Yes, we do. This is Miss Dahlia, the president of Quine Group,” Dustin replied.
“Oh, it’s her!” Ruth’s expression turned cold. This was her sister’s biggest rival in love, and she needed to be careful. She couldn’t let them get close again!
“Humph! Why do we keep running into each other? What bad luck!” Florence sneered at Dahlia.
“Dustin! Wow, I can’t believe you found another girl so quickly! You really are a gigolo!” James teased while feeling a bit jealous.
“Ugh! I’m way more amazing, and yet I still can’t find a girlfriend. Meanwhile, this guy keeps switching girls. First Natasha, now this new beauty! Life is unfair!” James grumbled to himself.
“Hey! Were you two causing a scene?” Julie said as she glared at Dustin and Ruth.
“It was me,” Ruth said, stepping forward. “Boss, we want this Lumianth Root. Just tell us the price.”
“Do you really think it’s yours just because you said so? Who do you think you are?” Julie replied sharply. “Let me tell you, I already paid five million dollars for this Lumianth Root!”
“Pretty lady, we need this…”
“Please, we need the Luminianth Root urgently. Can you help us?” Ruth asked kindly.
“Who do you think you are to ask me for a favor? Just leave!” Julie snapped back, her voice cold and harsh.
“Hmm? Boss, she offered five million dollars, right? I’ll give you eight million!” Ruth said firmly, her frown showing determination.
“Eight million dollars?!”
Everyone gasped at the high amount, especially the shop owner, whose eyes lit up with excitement.
The other customers watched the scene unfold, amused.
“Hey! What do you think you’re doing? Are you trying to start a fight?!” Julie’s face darkened with anger.
“This treasure is worth that much. Do you have a problem with that?” Ruth stood her ground, believing she was doing the right thing.

Chapter 121
“Fine! If you want to play this game, I’ll pay ten million dollars!” Julie shouted.
Florence turned pale at that. Five million was already too much for her, and ten million was beyond her means.
Without missing a beat, Ruth replied, “Then I’ll offer twelve million!”
“Fifteen million! I want this deal done now! Boss! You know it’s first come, first served. The Luminianth Root is already mine. If you sell it to someone else, I’ll make sure to ruin your shop!” Julie roared, grabbing the wooden box before anyone could react.
“Okay, okay. The Luminianth Root is yours!” The shop owner agreed, though he felt secretly delighted.
“Boss, why are you selling it to her? I can give you twelve million!” Ruth protested, frustrated.
“It’s not just about the money. In business, credibility matters. This lady ordered the Luminianth Root first, so it belongs to her,” the shop owner said, siding with Julie.
“Did you hear that? It doesn’t matter how much money you have. What’s mine is mine!” Julie declared triumphantly.
“Take it from me!” Julie exclaimed, her smile bright and triumphant, as if she had just won a grand victory.
But behind her, Florence felt crushed.
Fifteen million dollars!
The thought of losing that much money made her feel like she was about to be broke.
