An Understated Dominance - Chapter 132
The rain started to fall, but the party at the Emperor Hotel was as lively as ever. The earlier chaos didn’t seem to dampen anyone’s spirits.
Tina looked like a princess, surrounded by guests who all wanted to impress her. However, most of them didn’t catch her interest. Only a few of the notable guests were worth her time.
A butler approached her and said, “Miss, Mr. Williams and Mr. Chapman are here.”
Tina turned to see two handsome men standing at the entrance. One of them was Oliver from Boulderthorn, and the other was his senior, Troy Chapman. They had two bodyguards with them.
“Mr. Williams, Mr. Chapman, it’s great to see you both!” Tina greeted them warmly with a smile.
“Happy birthday, Ms. Hummer,” they said, handing her their gifts.
“Oh, you really didn’t have to bring anything. It’s an honor to have you here,” Tina said, beaming at them.
Oliver replied, “It’s only right to show our appreciation for Joshua’s kindness. He’s always treated us well, so a small gift is nothing.”
If Oliver and Troy had come from a regular wealthy family, Tina might have ignored them. But since her brother, Joshua, was a disciple of Boulderthorn and their senior, she knew she had to pay attention to them.
“Oh, by the way, where is my brother today?” Tina asked.
“Joshua is on a retreat right now and can’t leave. He sent us to meet you instead,” Oliver explained.
“I see,” Tina nodded and extended her hand. “Please, have a seat and let me know if you need anything.”
“Thank you, Ms. Hummer,” Oliver replied with a slight nod as he and Troy took their seats.
Tina’s friendly demeanor made the atmosphere even more welcoming.
The guests around the two men began to whisper.
“Who are they? Why did Tina personally greet them?” one asked.
“I don’t know. They look unfamiliar. I don’t think they’re from Swinton,” another replied.
“Maybe they’re important visitors from Millsburg?” someone suggested.
Curiosity buzzed through the crowd as they continued to watch the scene unfold.
As the evening progressed, more guests arrived, and the party became even more lively.

Chapter 132
At that moment, a man in a dark coat approached the entrance of the Emperor Hotel, holding an umbrella.
When he reached the gate, two guards stopped him.
“Hold it! Today is Ms. Hummer’s birthday. Only invited guests can enter!” one guard said.
“Move aside!” Dustin replied, not wanting to waste any time. He pushed his way through.
“Hey! You can’t just—” one guard began, but before he could finish, both guards grabbed Dustin’s shoulders.
In an instant, they were thrown back, crashing to the ground with loud yells.
“Quick! Call for Sir Zims!” one of the guards shouted, pulling out his phone as he struggled to get up.
But when he looked back, Dustin had already slipped past the gates.
After a quick ride in the elevator, Dustin stepped into the ballroom.
Taking in the lively scene, he took a deep breath and shouted, “Which one of you is Tina Hummer?!”
His voice wasn’t loud, but it echoed in the room.
The crowd fell silent, all eyes on him with frowns of disapproval.
“Who dared to call Ms. Hummer by her name?” they thought.
“Hmm? Who’s calling me?” Tina asked, standing up slowly, looking annoyed.
Dustin walked forward, feeling the weight of everyone’s gaze on him.
“Hey, isn’t that Dahlia’s ex-husband? What’s he doing here?”
“I think he’s come to apologize. Stealing from Ms. Hummer is serious.”
“He’s only apologizing now, after his girlfriend got hurt? How embarrassing!”
People around the room started whispering and pointing at him, mostly making fun of him.
“What? Are you here to say sorry for that witch?”
Tina looked the man up and down, her smile turning nasty. “If you really want to help your friend, you should probably get down on your knees. Who knows, if I like it, maybe I’ll think about letting her off the hook.”
“So, you’re the one who hurt Dahlia?” Dustin stepped closer to her.
In moments, he was standing right in front of her.
“So what if I hurt her? That witch didn’t know her place. A girl like her deserves a beating!”
Tina laughed coldly. “Let me tell you, this isn’t over. Today was just a warning. I’ll make her suffer bit by bit! She’ll be my nightmare for life!”
As soon as Tina finished speaking, a loud noise filled the room.
“Smack!”
Tina flew across the room. Her body twisted in the air before crashing to the ground with a sickening thud.
Blood began to trickle from her nose, and her teeth scattered everywhere.
The room fell silent, everyone shocked by what they had just witnessed.
No one expected Dustin to hit her, especially not in front of so many people.
Everyone knew she was Edwin Hummer’s daughter! She was the star of the event.
The party in Swinton was full of excitement until everything changed in an instant.
“Has he lost his mind?! How could he hit Miss Hummer? Doesn’t he care about his life?!” Everyone thought in shock.
Tina, holding her burning cheek, stood up, her legs shaking beneath her. She was stunned and confused. Ever since she was a child, no one had ever disrespected her, let alone slapped her. She didn’t know how to respond.
Without hesitation, he slapped her again with all his strength.
Blood flew from her mouth, and her once-pretty face was now badly bruised, her teeth broken, and her features swollen and red. The sight was both shocking and heartbreaking.
Tina’s hair was a tangled mess, adding to her distress.
“I’ll make you pay ten times for the pain you caused Dahlia!” Dustin shouted angrily.
His actions were reckless and impulsive.
In a flash, the party turned chaotic.
The first slap might have been a moment of madness, but the second slap was a clear challenge. Who would want to provoke the Hummers?
