An Understated Dominance - Chapter 137
The rain was pouring down heavily. Edwin was talking with Fletcher at the Hummer Villa.
“Mr. Hummer, the first batch of Eternumax is sold out! We’ve also received tons of positive feedback. Many people want to partner with us for the long term. We can start mass production now!” Fletcher said, excitedly.
“That’s the magic of our secret recipe! Who would have thought it would get such great reviews right after we launched it?” Edwin replied with a joyful laugh.
He had expected it would take a while for people to accept the product, so he was pleasantly surprised by the quick response.
Now was the time to take advantage of this opportunity.
“By the way, we should thank the Harmon family. Without their years of hard work and research, we wouldn’t have this amazing product,” Fletcher said with a smile.
“Natasha was foolish to challenge me! I’ll show her who’s in charge with Eternumax!” Edwin declared happily.
“Then let me congratulate you in advance on your success, Sir Hummer!” Fletcher clapped.
“Alright, it’s getting late. I need to head to Tina’s party. If I’m late, she’ll definitely complain,” Edwin said as he stood up, still smiling.
Just then, an old butler rushed into the room, looking frantic. “Sir! Bad news! Ms. Hummer has been hurt!” he exclaimed.
“What? Hurt? What happened?!” Edwin frowned, shocked.
Who would dare to harm Edwin’s daughter?
“There was a kid causing trouble at the party. He beat up Ms. Hummer in front of everyone! She’s already been taken to Hummers Hospital,” the butler reported quickly.
Hummers Hospital was overseen by the Hummer family and was one of the best hospitals in Swinton. The doctors there were all highly skilled.
global elites in the medical field who promised to help the Hummer family.
“Go! To the hospital!” Edwin shouted, not wasting a moment as he rushed to the hospital with a group of people.
As he entered the hospital ward, his heart sank at the shocking sight before him. His daughter, Tina, lay on the bed, looking nearly lifeless. Her face was unrecognizable, a horrific mess. Her limbs looked even worse, as if they had been violently torn apart, with shattered bones that seemed beyond repair.
“Chapter 137”
“Who?! Who did this?” Edwin roared, his anger boiling over like a furious lion. No one dared to hurt his daughter.
“Sir Hummer, we believe it was done by a man named Dustin,” an injured bodyguard explained, detailing what had happened. Edwin’s expression darkened as he listened.
“That son of a bitch again! He keeps ruining my life! I’ll cut him into pieces! Guards! Find the best trackers and hunt him down. I want him captured alive!” Edwin’s fists clenched tightly as he spoke through gritted teeth.
“Also, I want the entire Nicholson family dead!” he added fiercely.
“Yes, Sir!” the group responded, quickly scattering to carry out his orders.
“Sir Hummer, that guy is incredibly skilled. Not just anyone can take him on,” Fletcher said, remembering the time Dustin had slapped him, leaving him shaken.
“What are you trying to say?” Edwin asked, turning to Fletcher.
“I think it would be wise to call the White Dragon guild. Their members are top fighters, and they should be able to handle him.”
Fletcher suggested, “What about the White Dragon guild?”
Edwin narrowed his eyes and replied, “The White Dragon guild? Isn’t that a bit much for someone who’s not important?”
For Edwin, the White Dragon guild was a powerful ally he didn’t want to call upon unless absolutely necessary.
Fletcher insisted, “Sir Hummer, this isn’t just any fighter. He has the Harmon family backing him. We should summon the White Dragon guild to be safe. It’s the best option.”
After thinking it over for a moment, Edwin made up his mind. “Alright! Contact the White Dragon Guild right away. Get me their best fighters!”
Anyone who dared to hurt his daughter would pay dearly.
Meanwhile, at Java Joys, Natasha was shocked by the news. “What? Dustin caused trouble at the Hummer’s party? He beat Tina badly?”
“Yes! Oustin is crazy! He beat her in front of so many people and even hurt her badly. He’s on a whole different level!” Ruth said excitedly.
Natasha was confused. “He doesn’t seem like someone who would act that way. Why would he do it?”
Ruth explained, “It’s probably because of that girl! After Nicholson publicly embarrassed her, he wanted revenge.” She shared all the details with her sister.
Natasha nodded, understanding. “That makes sense.”
“Are you not mad at all?” Ruth asked, surprised.
“Why should I be?” Natasha replied.
“Dustin went to such lengths for that woman. Clearly, he still has feelings for her. Aren’t you bothered?” Ruth pointed out.
“Come on, they just got divorced. Of course, there will be some feelings left. That’s normal. Plus, if Dustin hadn’t acted on it…”
“I would have lost my respect for him,” Natasha said, showing no concern.
“Sis, I just don’t understand your thinking sometimes. I couldn’t move on if a guy I liked still had feelings for someone else,” Ruth said, scratching her head.
“Honestly, it’s up to them now. I trust Dustin won’t let me down,” Natasha replied with a smile.
Dustin was too proud to make the same mistake again.
“I really hope so. I’d much rather have Dustin as my brother-in-law than Tyler,” Ruth muttered.
“Alright, enough talk for now. Nothing is certain yet. Tell the others to keep an eye on Dustin. If he’s in trouble, they need to help him right away!” Natasha rolled her eyes and gave her order.
“Okay!” Ruth nodded and quickly left.
Both women knew that Edwin would not easily let this go.
A conflict was bound to happen…
