An Understated Dominance - Chapter 153
After catching his breath, Thor wheezed and said, “You’ve got guts, punk! It’s been a while since I’ve seen someone as reckless as you!”
“Just shut up and pay up!” Dustin replied, clearly annoyed. His mood was already spoiled. These men needed to learn a lesson for messing up his property.
“You really want trouble, huh? Boys, break his limbs! Let’s see if he talks back after that!” Thor grinned and signaled to his men.
“Right away, boss!” The assassins wasted no time and charged at Dustin, ready to attack.
“Hey! You said you’d let him go!” Sheila yelled.
“Ms. Murray, I promised not to kill him. But he seems unhappy with us, so it would be rude not to teach him a lesson!” Thor replied with a sly smile.
Suddenly, cries of pain erupted from the assassins.
Before they could reach Dustin, they collapsed one by one, as if struck by lightning. All the assassins were paralyzed and unable to move.
Thor inspected the scene and noticed silver needles stuck in their necks.
“What just happened?” Thor’s voice trembled as a chill ran down his spine.
He recognized the silver needles. They could be used for acupuncture or as hidden weapons, but he had never seen anyone use them all at once like this.
“How could this guy attack so stealthily with hidden needles?” Claudia thought, equally shocked.
Mastering needles was difficult compared to other hidden weapons. It required not only precise aim but also years of intense training.
“Punk! Who are you? How dare you interfere in my business?” Thor narrowed his eyes and reached for his weapon.
“Give me my compensation,” Dustin demanded firmly.
“Bastard!” Thor shouted, his anger boiling over.
Without warning, Thor threw a handful of dust into Dustin’s eyes. Then, he drew his sword and charged at Dustin, using the dust to hide his move.
Thor had done this many times before. When his opponent was caught off guard, he would stab them. Even stronger men had fallen for his sneak attacks.
But Dustin didn’t flinch. With a quick wave of his hand, he cleared the dust from his eyes.
Chapter 153
Dustin flicked two needles from his fingers. They shot through the air and struck Thor in the knees, making him scream in pain.
Thor’s legs buckled, and he fell to the ground, his heavy sword clattering beside him.
“H-How could this be?” Thor gasped in shock.
He couldn’t understand how Dustin could be so accurate, especially with the dust clouding his vision. To make matters worse, his legs felt heavy as lead after the attack.
“The only skills you have are your tricks. Your fighting abilities aren’t that great,” Dustin remarked, looking down at him.
An intense pressure weighed down on Thor as he struggled to breathe, cold sweat trickling down his forehead.
“Don’t be reckless! I have nothing against you. There’s no need to kill me!” Thor begged for his life.
He had thought his plan was foolproof. Who would have imagined that a troublemaker would show up and ruin everything?
“I had no issue with you before, but now I do,” Dustin replied coldly as he jabbed another needle into Thor’s neck. Thor felt his limbs go numb.
Inside Thor’s sleeve, a poisonous arrow glimmered ominously. He had intended to use it against Dustin.
“Miss, you can handle these men however you want!” Dustin brushed off his clothes and settled into a nearby chair. He knew this young lady had a good heart, so he was happy to help.
“Wow, you’re an incredible fighter!” Sheila said, filled with excitement. She had almost lost hope before.
Who would have thought that the doctor at this medical center was also skilled with hidden weapons? He had single-handedly taken down all the assassins!
“What’s so great about using hidden weapons? There’s no honor in sneaky attacks!” Claudia scoffed.
She came from a family of martial artists and didn’t respect those who used underhanded tactics. Plus, she herself had been a victim of Thor’s sneak attack, which had left her badly injured. Anger bubbled inside her as she remembered.
Claudia picked up a sword from the ground and pointed it at Thor’s neck. “Tell me! Who sent you?”
“I don’t know. As a hitman, I just take orders to kill, steal, and destroy. As long as I get paid, I don’t care who I work for,” Thor replied, struggling to speak.
“How dare you lie to me!” Claudia shouted, slicing the tendons in his arms and legs.
Thor let out a scream, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. “I…I really don’t know. When it comes to business, I follow instructions from someone above me. I’m just following orders!”
“You’re making this hard for me. I don’t have much patience. If you keep stalling, you can say goodbye to your jewels.” Claudia pressed the sword closer to his crotch.
“Please don’t! I’ll tell you everything!” Thor yelled, wincing in pain.
“The person who hired us to kidnap Ms. Murray is…”
Before Thor could finish his sentence, he suddenly convulsed and coughed up black blood. Just a few seconds later, he lay still and lifeless.
“Is he dead?” Claudia asked, shocked by what had just happened. Just a minute ago, he seemed fine. How could he die so suddenly?
As Claudia pondered Thor’s death, she noticed his abdomen swelling. Something was moving just beneath his skin. Suddenly, a spider crawled out of his belly button, followed by a swarm of spiders that covered his lifeless body. It was a horrifying sight.
“What are all these spiders doing inside him?” Sheila gasped, stepping back in shock.
Dustin, however, watched with a smirk. “This is fascinating. The person who made Thor kidnap you must be very powerful to activate venomous curses from a distance!”
