“Stop what you’re doing!” a loud voice commanded. Xavier Horst entered the room with confidence and shouted, “Uncle Caden, we don’t know this man! We can’t let him risk Sheila’s life!”

“I get that you’re worried about Sheila, Xavier. But we don’t have any better options right now. He is our only hope,” Caden replied, shaking his head.

“Who says we don’t have better options? Look who I brought!” Xavier gestured dramatically to the entrance.

In walked a short, plump man wearing a loose green robe. He moved in with a sense of assurance.

“Dr. Shane?” An uproar erupted as everyone recognized him.

The doctors in the room suddenly acted like excited fans meeting a celebrity. Their excitement was off the charts.

This was Dr. Malcolm Shane, the world-famous miracle healer!

His skills in acupuncture were unmatched, and everyone else in the room seemed small in comparison.

“Dr. Shane?” Caden and the others were shocked at first, but then joy took over.

They had expected him to arrive by night, so it was a wonderful surprise to see him so soon.

“Didn’t you say you were delayed, Dr. Shane?” Lily asked curiously.

“Aunt Lily, I heard Dr. Shane was stuck in traffic, so I took a helicopter and picked him up. Luckily, we made it just in time!” Xavier explained.

“That’s brilliant! It was smart of you to think of that, Xavier! I’m proud of you!” Caden said, feeling relieved by Dr. Shane’s presence.

“Thanks, Uncle Caden. I was just doing what I could,” Xavier replied modestly.

“Dr. Shane, we have no time to waste. Please save my daughter!” Caden said urgently, leading him to the emerald bed where Sheila lay.

Dustin felt frustrated as he confronted Caden. “Mr. Murray, didn’t you agree to let me help your daughter? What’s going on here?”

Caden replied, “Young man, I appreciate your intentions, but I won’t put my daughter at risk now that Dr. Shane is here. Please leave.”

Dustin’s expression hardened. “Mr. Murray, this isn’t right. You asked for my help, and now you’re backing out? That’s not fair.”

Xavier scoffed at him. “Do you really think you can compare to Dr. Shane?”

Caden firmly stated, “I can choose whoever I want to help my daughter. I trust Dr. Shane over you.”

Dustin felt frustrated. He had only offered to help because he was desperate for a solution.

“It’s fine that you’ve chosen someone else, Mr. Murray, but what about the Gozoraberry you promised me?” Dustin asked.

Caden interrupted, “You didn’t do anything! Why should you get the Gozoraberry? Do you really think you deserve it?”

Dustin frowned. “So you’re going back on your word?”

Though usually calm, Dustin found Caden’s ungratefulness infuriating.

Caden snapped, “Stop the nonsense. Isn’t it just the money you want? Guards, bring him two million dollars!”

Soon, the guards returned with two cases of cash. “Here, take this as payment for helping Sheila. We’re done here,” Caden said.

Xavier shouted, “Don’t you hear? Take the money and leave, now!”

Suddenly, Dustin burst into laughter, but his eyes were cold and filled with disbelief.

“What a clever strategy you have, Mr. Murray. But I’m afraid you’re being too hopeful. Do you really believe that Malcolm Shane can cure your daughter?”

As soon as he spoke, chaos erupted. “How dare you! Do you know what you just said? We’re talking about Dr. Shane! There hasn’t been a case he couldn’t handle!”

“That’s right! What a rude young man! If Dr. Shane can’t help her, do you think you can?”

“Where did this impudent person come from? How can he question Dr. Shane’s abilities?”
