“What?” Everyone turned to look. Lily was right; Sheila was there. She looked much paler than before, and more frost had formed on her brows and hair.

It seemed that Sheila’s condition had not improved; in fact, it had gotten worse. Caden frowned, his face serious. “Dr. Shane, what’s happening?”

“This is strange,” Malcolm said, puzzled. “She should be fine after getting rid of the coldness.” He couldn’t understand how Sheila had gone from being okay to feeling worse in such a short time.

“What should we do now, Dr. Shane?” Caden asked urgently.

“Don’t worry. I’ll try again,” Malcolm replied, determined. He used the same technique to help Sheila, hoping to remove the coldness.

But nothing changed. In less than three minutes, Sheila’s condition was back to where it started. It was as if the coldness inside her was endless. This was truly odd.

“What’s going on?” Malcolm wondered, realizing the situation was more serious than he thought.

“Dr. Shane, your needling skills are impressive, but what you did was just a temporary fix. It won’t solve the root problem,” Dustin pointed out.

This upset some of the people watching.

“That’s ridiculous! Who are you to question Dr. Shane’s abilities?” Xavier glared at him angrily.

“Exactly! You’re just a kid! How dare you speak like that?” The crowd was furious.

Dr. Shane was a legendary doctor, and they wouldn’t let anyone criticize him without reason!

“If you don’t believe me, then go ahead and try…”

moment, Lily’s eyes widened with a glimmer of hope.

“Dustin!” she called out, her voice breaking through the panic. “You have to help us!”

Dustin felt the weight of the situation. He had been quiet until now, but seeing Sheila in such distress ignited a fire within him.

“What can I do?” he asked, stepping forward.

“Do you have any ideas?” Caden pleaded, desperation etched on his face.

Dustin thought for a moment. He remembered something he had read about an ancient remedy that could help in situations like this. “There’s a special technique I know,” he said. “It involves warming her core to drive out the coldness.”

“Will it work?” Malcolm asked, still skeptical.

“It might,” Dustin replied, trying to sound confident. “But I need your help, Dr. Shane. You have the experience; together we can try.”

Malcolm nodded, realizing they had to act quickly. “Alright, let’s do it,” he agreed.

Dustin moved closer to Sheila, taking a deep breath to steady himself. He began to apply gentle pressure to her abdomen, while Malcolm prepared some herbs to aid the process.

“Everyone, stand back!” Malcolm shouted, creating space around them.

As they worked together, Dustin felt the warmth start to spread through Sheila’s body. He concentrated, willing her to fight against the cold.

Minutes felt like hours, but finally, they noticed a flicker of life in Sheila’s face. Her pulse began to strengthen, and color slowly returned to her cheeks.

“Keep going!” Lily encouraged, tears of hope now streaming down her face.

Dustin and Malcolm continued their efforts, fueled by the rising hope of everyone around them. Just when they thought they couldn’t go on, Sheila let out a small gasp, her eyes fluttering open.

“Mom? Dad?” she whispered, confusion in her voice.

“She’s back!” Caden shouted, relief flooding through him.

Lily rushed forward, wrapping her arms around her daughter. “You’re safe now, sweetheart. We’re here.”

Dustin stepped back, a smile spreading across his face. He had never felt so relieved.

For the first time, he realized that even in the darkest moments, there was always a chance for light to break through.

In an instant, Mrs. Murray felt a glimmer of hope. “Buddy! Didn’t you say you could cure Sheila? Please, I beg you, save my daughter!”

Dustin looked at her, feeling helpless. “Mrs. Murray, it’s not that I don’t want to help; it’s just that some people don’t seem to want me to.”

Caden, Sheila’s father, had a mix of emotions on his face. “Young man, I admit I made a mistake earlier. If you can save my daughter, the entire Murray family will be forever grateful!” He was not one to easily admit fault, but he felt he had no other choice. His last hope rested with Dustin.

“Uncle Caden! You can’t really believe this guy, can you? Even Dr. Shane can’t cure her. How can we trust him?” Xavier exclaimed, losing his cool.

Dustin replied, “Well, if I can’t cure her, what can you do?” He gestured for Xavier to give it a try.

Xavier was at a loss for words. He was skilled in fighting but knew nothing about saving lives.

“Buddy, please do your best to save her. No matter what happens, we can handle it!” Lily said, looking at Dustin with determination. She was ready to face whatever came next.

“I can help her,” Dustin said as he approached Sheila, who was still unconscious. “But I hope Mr. Murray will keep his promise afterwards.”

He carefully helped Sheila sit up and, with just one hand, placed needles at 13 different pressure points on her body. His technique was remarkable.

As the needles began to spin in their spots, he gave Sheila a firm smack on the back. Suddenly, Sheila jerked her head up and spat out several white crystals that hit the ground with a loud thud. The crystals were murky white and sent a chill through the room.

“The coldness has crystallized?” Malcolm said, his face showing disbelief.

No wonder his acupuncture hadn’t helped. Sheila’s body had absorbed so much coldness over the years that it had turned into crystals!

These crystals acted like a source of evil, constantly releasing coldness. That was why he couldn’t help Sheila with her condition!

As the crowd looked on, confused and skeptical, Dustin took out a bamboo cylinder and carefully poured out a small, red beetle.

“Hey! What’s that?” Lily exclaimed, shocked, and quickly tried to stop him.

“This is a fiery beetle,” Dustin explained. “It’s a venomous insect that feeds on coldness and creates warmth. Once it enters Sheila’s body, it can help balance her energy.”

“A venomous insect?” The crowd’s expressions changed, worried.

To them, venomous insects were dangerous and frightening.

“You’re going to put this insect into Sheila’s body?” Lily asked, feeling uneasy.

“Don’t worry. As I mentioned, the mystic arts can heal. This is a perfect example,” Dustin reassured her as he carefully placed the fiery beetle into Sheila’s mouth.

Everyone exchanged glances, unsure of what to think.

Malcolm, however, looked deep in thought. He had heard about using mystic arts for healing but had never seen it in action. Could this guy really perform miracles?
