Edwin looked around the busy hall and smiled widely. Everything was going just as he planned. After today’s product launch, Eternumax would gain a great reputation!
He dreamed big, wanting to market Eternumax not just in Swinton but across all thirteen cities in the South.
“Sir Hummer! Congratulations on your launch!” Quentin and his friends approached Edwin, who was still grinning. “Oh, it’s Mr. Harmon. Please, have a seat,” Edwin welcomed him warmly.
“Sir Hummer, Eternumax is truly a remarkable herb! Everyone is talking about how wonderful it is. Look at this crowd! They’ve come in large numbers after hearing about its benefits!” Quentin praised.
Edwin replied, “If the product is good, customers will come back. Mr. Harmon, I see you’ve stocked up well. It looks like you’re set for a big profit this time.”
“It’s all thanks to you, Sir Hummer. We’re all in this together to make money!” Quentin laughed.
“By the way, have you heard any news from Natasha?” Edwin asked suddenly.
Quentin’s face lit up with a mischievous grin. “Speaking of her, I just heard that Natasha plans to hold a press conference at the same time and place as you.”
“Oh? Is she trying to challenge me? How come I didn’t know about this?” Edwin was taken aback.
“Not just you, I don’t think anyone in Swinton knows about it. I checked, and it looks like no one is attending her press conference! What a joke!” Quentin scoffed.
“If no one is there, why is she even holding a press conference?” Edwin wondered.
“She’s probably frustrated with you and thought this would cause trouble. But it seems her plan is backfiring,” Quentin replied.
Quentin responded with a laugh. “I never thought Natasha would make such a foolish move. Does she really believe she can fix everything just by using the Harmon family’s name? How naive!” Edwin shook his head, secretly looking down on Natasha. To him, Natasha Harmon, the so-called queen of the business world, didn’t seem impressive at all.
“Sir Hummer, why don’t we go see the spectacle for ourselves?” Quentin suggested.
“I have important guests arriving soon, so I can’t leave right now. You go ahead and say hello to Natasha for me,” Edwin replied calmly.
“Alright, I’ll go have some fun. I’ll update you later,” Quentin said before leaving.
Before long, Quentin and Mr. Wangley arrived at the Harmon family’s press conference. As they entered, they found the hall mostly empty, with only a few people there.
“Cousin, I didn’t expect you’d actually hold a press conference. But why is no one here? What are you doing?” Quentin teased as he stepped inside.
“Did you not come here? Aren’t you a human?” Natasha shot back coldly.
Quentin’s lips twitched, but he continued with sarcasm, “I see it’s really empty here. Should I bring some friends over to brighten things up?”
Even as he spoke, he couldn’t hide the sneer on his face.
“Thank you for the offer, but it’s not necessary. My guests will arrive soon,” Natasha replied with a faint smile.
“Cousin, you really shouldn’t be so stubborn. How can you compete with Edwin when you have such a poor turnout? Honestly, I think you should just admit defeat,” Quentin said with a smirk.
“Well, it looks like you’re enjoying yourself!” Ruth chimed in.
“Ruth, I’m doing this for your sister’s sake. We should cut our losses now instead of embarrassing ourselves later. I’ve bought a lot of Eternumax, and I’m sure I’ll make a fortune,” Quentin said confidently.
Ruth was taken aback. “You bought Eternumax? How much did you get?”
Quentin puffed out his chest. “I invested all my money and even took out loans to buy the stocks. This time, I’m going to make a killing!” He was waiting for them to praise his smart decision.
Ruth couldn’t believe it. She slapped her forehead and sighed. “It’s all over!”
Eternumax was a total disaster!
Quentin was making a huge mistake by buying so much Eternumax, especially with money he didn’t have.
What a fool Quentin was!
