“Uh…” The sight of a head rolling on the ground left everyone in the martial arts gym in shock, followed by gasps and screams.

No one could believe that Gabriel had taken his own life so brutally. He had cut off his own head with a single sword strike. Had he really lost his mind?

“What did you do to Sir Gabriel?!” Nigel shouted, his voice trembling with fear.

“You want to find out? Go ask him yourself,” Dustin said, ignoring the horrified faces around him as he walked out of the gym.

As soon as he left, a fully armed team stormed in and secured the area. Everyone present was taken into custody.

Dustin didn’t worry about what would happen next. With Sergeant Spanner in charge, he was sure everything would be handled just fine.

Meanwhile, at Fallridge Haven…

“What? Dustin didn’t die?! How is that possible? Gabriel is in the top ten of the Hundred Immortals, and he brought many elite members of the Horst family with him. It should have been easy to deal with that kid,” Caden said, furrowing his brow at the news.

“We still don’t know the details. There’s been no word from the dojo. All we know is that Dustin came back safe,” a guard whispered.

“That’s strange. Where’s Gabriel? Call him now,” Caden ordered, deep in thought.

“Sir Gabriel has disappeared. We can’t reach him, and the military has sealed off the dojo,” the guard replied.

“Sealed off by the military? What happened?” Caden asked, surprised.

“We’re not sure yet,” the guard said.

“Get someone to investigate and find out what’s going on,” Caden commanded.

“Yes, sir!” The guard quickly left to follow orders.

Just then, a loud whooshing sound filled the air. A military helicopter appeared above and landed smoothly in the square.

The cabin door swung open, revealing an old man with white hair and a strong build, followed by a few subordinates. He walked out with confidence.

Chapter 189

The old man had a square face, a goatee, and an air of authority that showed he was a seasoned warrior. His presence was intimidating enough to make ordinary people shiver and keep their distance.

This man was Christopher Murray, the founding father of Dragonmarsh.

“Father? What brings you here?” Caden, who had been sipping tea, jumped in surprise. The tea spilled and the cup shattered on the floor, but he quickly got up, eager to show respect, like a mouse facing a cat.

Even though Christopher hadn’t been involved in family matters for ten years, his long-held influence still made everyone uneasy. Caden, as the heir, knew better than to act out of line.

“Kneel down,” Christopher said softly.

“What?” Caden was taken aback, but he soon obeyed and knelt on the ground. To the Murray family, Christopher was like a god, and no one dared to challenge him.

“Do you know why I made you kneel?” Christopher asked as he took a seat, his presence dominating the room.

“I don’t know,” Caden replied, looking down.

“Hmph! You’ve damaged our family’s reputation. You’ve done things you shouldn’t have and offended people you shouldn’t have. You nearly ruined the Murray name!” Christopher said, his voice cold.

“Father, I don’t quite understand,” Caden responded, confused.

“You don’t even realize the trouble you’ve caused. If this continues, the Murray family will be destroyed because of you!”

“Later, if you don’t step down as the head of the family, you’ll regret it. If you can’t handle the responsibility, then leave now!” Christopher shouted, furious.

Caden couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “Step down?” he gasped, shocked. He thought his father would just give him a few harsh words, but he never expected to be stripped of his position.

Over the years, Caden had dedicated himself to the Murray family, focusing on his work and keeping everything running smoothly. While he may not have achieved great things, he made sure the family stayed organized. Now, out of nowhere, he was being told to step down, and he didn’t understand why.

“Father, what did I do wrong?” Caden asked, feeling frustrated.

“You are blind to the truth. You don’t see the real talent when it’s in front of you. Step back and think about your mistakes before you create even bigger problems. We can talk again once you understand,” Christopher replied firmly, leaving no room for discussion.

Caden wanted to explain himself, but Christopher cut him off. “Have some dignity and don’t embarrass me further!”

Feeling lost, Caden fell silent and knelt on the floor.

“Leave and fetch Sheila,” Christopher ordered, waving his hand.

“Yes…” Caden nodded, bowing deeply before he left, his expression dark and troubled.

Not long after, Sheila burst into the living room, her eyes wide with surprise. “Grandpa! You really came?”

She rushed into Christopher’s arms, tears in her eyes. “Please, save Dustin! He’s in danger!”

“Calm down, silly girl. Dustin is fine now,” Christopher said, smiling gently for the first time.

Back then,

Caden became the head of the family because he gave Christopher a precious granddaughter.

“Really? Dustin is okay?” Sheila quickly wiped her tears.

“Of course! When has Grandpa ever lied to you?” Christopher gently patted her head.

“Thank you, Grandpa!” Sheila exclaimed, her excitement showing as she kissed her grandfather’s cheek.

This made Christopher laugh, and he couldn’t stop grinning.

“Are you so nervous about Dustin because you have a crush on him?” Christopher suddenly asked.

“Huh?” Sheila was taken aback, and her face turned bright red. “Grandpa! What are you talking about? I don’t have a crush on him!”

“Ha! If you like someone, it’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Young people should be bold,” Christopher said with a chuckle.

“Grandpa, Dustin saved me before. I’m just grateful to him,” Sheila said, lowering her head, her voice shaky as her cheeks flushed.

“Just grateful? Then why were you crying for him? Little girl, if you really like him, don’t hesitate to express your feelings. That boy is special. If you win him over, it will be wonderful for me too!” Christopher rubbed his beard and laughed.

After all, Dustin was the kirin!

“If he becomes my grandson-in-law, all those old guys will be so jealous! Hahaha,” he thought to himself.
