When Dustin returned to Peaceful Medical Center, everything that had been broken and damaged was cleaned up. The clinic looked brand new again.

Dahlia was asleep at the table, her beautiful face looking tired with her eyebrows slightly furrowed. Seeing her, Dustin felt a mix of emotions and deep gratitude, remembering how she had saved Gregory’s life. He took off his coat and gently placed it over her.

“Mmm?” Dahlia stirred and woke up quickly. “You’re back? Are you hurt?”

“I’m fine, thank you for today,” Dustin replied politely.

“Don’t mention it. It’s only right for me to take care of Mr. Jones when he’s hurt,” Dahlia said, pursing her lips.

“Have you eaten? Are you hungry?” Dustin asked.

“A little,” she answered.

“Do you want your usual, spaghetti bolognese?” he offered.

“Mmm, thank you,” she said.

“Wait a moment.” Without hesitation, Dustin headed to the kitchen and began to cook. During their three years of marriage, he would often make her a midnight snack, especially spaghetti bolognese, which she loved.

But over time, they grew apart, and their relationship became strained, eventually leading to their divorce.

“Here’s your spaghetti.” About 15 minutes later, Dustin returned with a steaming plate of spaghetti bolognese.

“Mmm, it smells so good,” Dahlia said, immediately starting to eat.

Before long, she had finished the whole bowl, even licking up the sauce. “This tastes amazing! Your cooking skills have really improved,” she smiled, a rare sight.

“Maybe it’s just that you haven’t had it in a long time,” Dustin said suddenly.

“Is that so? Maybe,” Dahlia replied.

Dahlia’s eyes lost some of their sparkle.

Unknowingly, three years had slipped by.

Over time, many things that used to be ordinary became second nature for Dahlia. She had grown used to having someone bring her warm clothes when it got chilly, having someone cook her meals when she was hungry, and having someone by her side when she felt sick.

But when those familiar routines changed, she felt lost.

“Dustin, can we ever go back to how things were before?” Dahlia suddenly asked after a moment of silence.

Dustin, who had been about to wash the dishes, paused and struggled to find the right words. Could they really return to the past?

“Hey honey, where are you? Want to go out for a late-night snack? This is a perfect chance for you to get me drunk.”

“Gregory is sick? I’ll come over right away!” Natasha said, sounding worried.

“No need! It’s just a little cold, nothing serious,” Dustin quickly assured her.

“Gregory is getting older. We shouldn’t take any chances. How about I send someone over tomorrow to help?” Natasha insisted.

“That’s too much trouble. I can handle it on my own.”

“You’re a big guy, but you can be clumsy and forgetful; you might miss something important. I’ll send someone over.”

As he looked around, he spotted Matt and Julie. He walked over to them. “Hey, how’s it going?” Dustin asked.

“Great! I’m hoping to get the distributorship with Harvey’s help,” Matt replied, his enthusiasm evident.

“Really? That sounds promising!” Dustin encouraged, feeling a bit of hope for his own plans.

Just then, Natasha appeared, her presence commanding attention as she walked to the front of the hall. “Thank you all for coming! Today marks an important step for Immortunol, and I’m excited to see who will join us as our agents,” she announced, her voice steady and confident.

Dustin listened closely, ready to support the team and make sure everything went smoothly. He couldn’t shake off the earlier tension with Dahlia, but he pushed it aside, focusing on the task at hand.

“Rhys? He’s just trash! Why would the Harmon family work with someone like him who has no qualifications?” Julie added with a sneer.

“I don’t have qualifications? And what about you? Do you even have what it takes to work with the Harmon family?” Dustin shot back.

“Of course, we do! The manager here, Harvey, is like a brother to me. If I say the word, getting the distributorship will be a piece of cake!” Julie replied, full of herself.

Dustin shook his head and said, “I doubt that. I don’t think the Harmon family would give you the distributorship.”

“What? You think they won’t give it to us? Who do you think you are?!” Julie snapped.

Dustin smiled slightly and replied, “Me? I’m the chief physician of the Rhys family, and I’m also a major shareholder of Immortunol.”
