An Understated Dominance - Chapter 195
“What? Mr. Rhys?” Morgan’s face showed pure shock.
He had heard that the developer of Immortunol, Mr. Rhys, would be here today, but he never imagined he would be so young!
“N-no way! H-he’s Mr. Rhys?!” Mr. Marcs stared in disbelief. He had been boasting about being friends with someone so important, and now that person was standing right in front of him. This was bad. Really bad. They were in serious trouble now.
“Mr. Rhys? Dustin Rhys?” Julie looked around, confused. “They must be mistaken! The amazing Mr. Rhys who created Immortunol is Dustin? How can that be?” she wondered aloud.
“What kind of talent does this guy have to create the formula for Immortunol?”
Matt was shocked, but soon jealousy took over. Immortunol was a valuable drug that could bring great wealth! How could such a treasure be in the hands of someone he thought was worthless? It felt like a waste!
“Mr. Finn, I’ll ask you one more time,” Natasha said firmly. “Do you believe that Mr. Rhys is the one who stole these Immortunol products?”
“Well—this might be a misunderstanding.” Morgan’s eyes twitched as he forced a smile.
“A misunderstanding? So you’re saying Mr. Rhys isn’t the thief?” Natasha scoffed.
“Of course! Why would Mr. Rhys steal his own products?” Morgan nodded quickly.
“Alright, then who stole this box of substandard Immortunol?” Natasha demanded.
“I understand now!” Morgan pretended to figure it out. “It must have been Mr. Marcs who stole the company’s products while he was supposed to be guarding them! He misused his authority and accused Mr. Rhys before we even investigated.”
“That’s unacceptable! We cannot have someone like him in our company!”
“I’ll fire him immediately!”
“Mr. Finn, I-”
“Be quiet!” Just as Mr. Marcs tried to speak, Morgan slapped him hard and shouted, “You worthless piece of trash! Admit your mistakes, or I won’t go easy on you!”
“Yes, yes. I was wrong. Please forgive me, Mr. Finn. I promise I won’t make the same mistakes again.” Mr. Marcs covered his face with his hands, trembling as he confessed.
“Why are you apologizing to me? You should be apologizing to Ms. Harmon!” Morgan shouted.
“Ms. Harmon, I’m so sorry! Please let me off this time. I know I messed up!” Mr. Marcs begged, falling to his knees.
Natasha ignored him completely, focusing her gaze on Morgan. “Nice move, Mr. Finn. You’re throwing someone else under the bus to save yourself. But do you really think you’ll get away with it?”
“Ms. Harmon, what do you mean? I don’t understand,” Morgan said, furrowing his brow.
“Don’t think I don’t know what you’ve done. I just never bothered to take action. But you’ve messed with the wrong person this time! I’m giving you one last chance. Apologize sincerely to Mr. Rhys for your behavior today, or be ready to face the consequences!” Natasha said coldly.
“Ms. Harmon, you must be joking!” Morgan’s face darkened. “I’m a founding member and the vice president of this company! How can you make me apologize to someone like him? How will I maintain control over my subordinates if I do that?”
“You’re not going to apologize, are you? Guards, take care of him!” Natasha wasted no time. With a snap of her fingers, two bodyguards moved in.
He walked up to them and slapped Morgan hard on the face several times. Morgan was completely confused.
