An Understated Dominance - Chapter 196
“W–why would you order them to hit me?” Morgan asked, covering his face with his hands in shock.
“Not only did I have them hit you, but I’m also firing you! You are no longer the vice president of this company!” Natasha said flatly.
“Natasha Harmon! This is outrageous! I’ve worked so hard for this company all these years, and you’re letting me go because of this scoundrel? How will the other employees react to this? You’re disregarding my hard work! Aren’t you afraid of how they’ll respond?”
“What? Are you threatening me?” Natasha laughed mockingly. “Let me be clear. Not only am I firing you, but I’m also sending you to prison today! I have proof of all your wrongdoings, and it’s enough to keep you locked up for a long time!”
“Natasha Harmon! How could you do this? I have the support of your cousin, Quentin Harmon!” Morgan shouted, though he felt scared inside.
“Quentin Harmon? Ha! Why don’t you call him here? Let’s see if he can save you,” Natasha said with a threatening tone.
Just then, Quentin stepped through the door but quickly turned around. He didn’t want to deal with Natasha when she was this angry!
“Natasha, you can’t do this! I-”
“Shut up!” Natasha interrupted, raising her hand and slapping him so hard that his nose started to bleed. “I gave you a chance, and you wasted it. Guards! Tie them up and take them to the police station!”
At her command, several security guards arrived to restrain Morgan and Mr. Marcs.
“Ms. Harmon, I was wrong! Please, give me another chance! I promise I won’t do this again!”
Morgan finally lost control when he realized how bad things were getting. He dropped to his knees and began to beg.
“Yes, Ms. Harmon, we let greed take over for a moment. After all the years we’ve worked for the company, could you please forgive us just this once?” Mr. Marcs was so scared that he was in tears.
Even Mr. Finn, who usually supported him, looked helpless. How could a manager like him stand up to Natasha?
“Mr. Rhys, I’m so sorry! I was rude and foolish. Please, have mercy on us and let us go!” Morgan noticed that Natasha was ignoring them, so he quickly turned to Dustin for help.
“What?” Julie and Matt stared in disbelief. The vice president of Harmon Pharmaceuticals was on his knees, begging someone they considered worthless. It was humiliating!
“It’s too late for apologies! Take them away!” Natasha signaled to her guards, and they quickly dragged Morgan and Mr. Marcs away. Their cries for forgiveness went unheard.
Chapter 196
Natasha’s quick and firm actions left the crowd in awe. She was impressive and commanding, truly living up to her title of the Steel Lady.
“Dustin, I’ll leave the rest to you. I want to make sure no one else in the company has bad intentions. I can’t let a minor employee ruin our reputation,” Natasha warned Dustin before leaving with her team. She knew it was a critical time for the company and wouldn’t allow anyone to jeopardize it from within.
After Natasha left, everyone turned to Dustin. He now had the power to decide the company’s fate.
“Rhys! Why didn’t you help plead for Mr. Marcs?” Julie asked, clearly unhappy with him.
“He stole what he was supposed to protect and sold bad products behind our backs. He got what he deserved today. Why should I help him?” Dustin said calmly.
“He’s a close friend of mine! You could have easily helped him! Why didn’t you? Do you have any empathy at all?” Julie glared at him.
“He’s your friend. What does that have to do with me? And what do you even mean to me?” Dustin replied.
“You’re my ex–cousin–in–law! Even if it’s not for my sake, you should have helped him for Dahlia’s sake! Why are you so cruel?” Julie said boldly.
“Ha! So you do remember that I’m your ex–cousin–in–law? If I recall correctly, you didn’t help me when I was accused of theft. You even supported those who slandered me. Why didn’t you think about our connection back then?” Dustin sneered.
Julie’s face turned red. She struggled to find the right words to defend herself.
