An Understated Dominance - Chapter 199
At noon, after resolving an issue with the dealer, Dustin returned to Peaceful Medical Center. As soon as he entered, he noticed an 18-year-old girl with a sweet face. She had her hair tied back in a ponytail and was dressed casually. She was busy cleaning the medical center, and beads of sweat were dripping down her face from hard work.
Meanwhile, Gregory was asleep on a recliner, snoring loudly. He was unusually covered with a blanket.
“Mr. Rhys, you’re back?” the girl said, standing up straight and looking a bit nervous when she saw Dustin.
“Who are you?” Dustin asked, feeling a bit confused by the situation.
“I’m Caitlyn Lawler. Ms. Harmon sent me here to take care of Mr. Jones,” she replied, nodding her head.
“Are you old enough for this job?” Dustin was surprised. He expected Natasha to send a middle-aged housekeeper, not someone so young.
“I am! I’m already 18 years old!” Caitlyn insisted, her head bobbing up and down.
“Still, I think you’re too young. At your age, you should be in school,” Dustin said, shaking his head.
It was just a casual comment, but Caitlyn suddenly dropped to her knees.
“Mr. Rhys, please don’t fire me! I can do laundry, cook, and clean. I’m willing to do whatever it takes, no matter how tiring. Don’t let my thin figure fool you; I’m actually very strong! Plus, I eat very little, so I won’t be a burden!” she pleaded.
Dustin was taken aback by her sudden change in demeanor. She seemed fine just a moment ago.
“Mr. Rhys, I’m begging you! If I make a mistake, you can scold me or even hit me. I can handle it. Just please don’t fire me!” As she spoke, she hit her head on the floor.
knocks on the door, you are to greet them with a smile and help them however you can,” Dustin said, trying to sound serious but unable to hide his smile.
Caitlyn nodded eagerly. “I understand! I will do my best!”
“Good,” Dustin replied, feeling relieved. “Now let’s clean up that cut on your forehead. It looks painful.”
Caitlyn touched her forehead and winced. “I’m okay, really. It’s just a scratch,” she insisted.
Dustin shook his head. “You need to take care of yourself. Let’s get you patched up first.”
As he led her to the small medical room in the back of the center, Caitlyn felt a mix of gratitude and excitement. She had always dreamed of working in a place like this, helping others and making a difference.
Once they reached the room, Dustin carefully cleaned the cut and put a bandage on it. “There, all done. Just be more careful next time,” he said, looking at her with concern.
Caitlyn touched the bandage and smiled. “Thank you, Mr. Rhys. You’re very kind.”
“Just doing what I can,” Dustin replied. “Now, let’s get to work. We have a lot to do!”
Caitlyn nodded, her spirits high. She was ready to embrace this new chapter in her life and show Dustin that she could be a valuable part of the team.
“Dares bully you, but you just need to search for the findnovel.net website on Google. There, you can access chapters of novels early and in high quality,” Caitlyn said.
Dustin smiled softly. “Me?”
“Okay!” she replied.
“Alright. Go get some rest; you don’t need to work now,” he advised.
“Okay,” Caitlyn nodded. But even though she agreed, she couldn’t just sit still. She kept wiping the tables and cleaning up the medical center.
Dustin felt a bit helpless watching her, but he didn’t stop her.
