An Understated Dominance - Chapter 210
“Honey, why did you hit me?” Chloe asked, holding her face and looking hurt. The others watched, confused by what had just happened.
Everyone was shocked that Big Bucks Brooks, who usually defended his wife, had slapped her.
“See for yourself!” he said angrily, throwing his phone at Chloe. She picked it up and looked at the screen. Suddenly, her face went pale, as if she had been struck by lightning.
It was the medical report from the hospital, and the diagnosis was AIDS.
“How could this happen? No, it can’t be!” Chloe exclaimed, shaking her head in disbelief. “This report has to be fake! Honey, I don’t have AIDS. I promise!”
“Are you still trying to defend yourself?!” Roderick shouted, his anger boiling over.
No man could handle the pain of being cheated on, especially when it meant his wife had contracted AIDS because of it. It was deeply humiliating.
“Honey, I’m sorry! I was just confused for a moment. Please forgive me!” Chloe begged as she fell to her knees. Then she pointed at the young bodyguard beside her and yelled, “It’s all his fault! He seduced me! I’m innocent!”
“Mrs. Brooks, you need to be honest. You were the one who came onto me, so why blame me?” Wally replied, feeling upset.
He didn’t want to take the fall for seducing a married woman, especially considering Big Bucks Brooks’s power. His life could be in danger.
“Shut up! You seduced me! And you gave me AIDS, you animal!” Chloe shouted back.
Chloe was furious. She marched over to Wally and slapped him hard a few times.
After that, she knelt down in front of Roderick and pleaded, “Honey, I know I made a mistake. I won’t do it again. Please forgive me. We’re husband and wife!”
Roderick remained cold and unresponsive. He loved Chloe, but only if she stayed faithful. If she couldn’t even be loyal to him, then why should he love her?
“It’s all your fault! You two are to blame! I’m going to kill you!” Chloe shouted, her anger boiling over. When she saw Roderick wasn’t reacting, she lunged at Natasha.
She even smeared her bloodied hand across her face, trying to hurt Natasha.
“Get away from her!” Dustin shouted, stepping in and kicking Chloe away.
Chloe cried out, holding her stomach in pain. “Honey, he hit me…”
“Take Chloe home and make sure she doesn’t leave her room,” Roderick ordered coldly.
“Understood!” The two strong bodyguards quickly picked Chloe up and took her away, despite her wailing and begging for forgiveness.
Once the noise settled, Roderick took a deep breath to calm himself. He was good at managing his emotions, better than most people.
“Ms. Harmon, I apologize for my wife’s behavior. I hope you weren’t too scared,” Roderick said, looking at Natasha.
“It’s alright, Mr. Roderick. What happened today was just an accident,” Natasha replied with a polite smile.
