An Understated Dominance - Chapter 213
Roderick was in a tough spot. Despite running a large family business, he didn’t have an heir. It was truly a sad situation.
“Mr. Brooks, don’t be too upset,” Dustin said, trying to lift Roderick’s spirits. “Even though the knife injury affected your ability to have children, it can be treated. Once you heal, you could have another son—or even ten! It won’t be a problem.”
“Really?” Roderick asked, his heart racing with hope. For the last six months, he hadn’t been intimate with his wife because he was unable to perform.
He had kept this a secret, wanting to protect his pride as a man. So hearing that there was a chance to regain his ability made him incredibly happy.
“Trust me, if I say it’s possible, then it is,” Dustin responded confidently. He pulled out a tablet and explained, “This is Gemiphen, a medicine I created. It helps improve circulation and heal internal injuries. Give it a try.”
“Okay!” Roderick eagerly took the Gemiphen and swallowed it without hesitation.
As soon as the tablet entered his body, he felt a warm sensation spreading through him. Instantly, his mood improved, and he felt better in a way he couldn’t quite explain. The pain in his lower back also eased significantly.
“This is amazing! Mr. Rhys, your miracle tablet is incredible!” Roderick exclaimed, feeling overjoyed by the sudden changes in his body. It was as if he had received a brand-new body.
Any doubts he had about Dustin’s skills vanished completely. Compared to Dustin, even the most famous doctors seemed inadequate.
“Mr. Brooks, take Gemiphen once every three days. In a month, you’ll be fully recovered,” Dustin said, handing Roderick a small glass bottle filled with more tablets.
“Thank you so much, Mr. Rhys! I’ll always remember your help!” Roderick replied, feeling grateful and hopeful for the future.
“Kindness for the rest of my life!” Roderick said, feeling overwhelmed with emotion as he knelt on the ground.
“Mr. Brooks, please get up. It was nothing,” Dustin quickly replied, helping him back to his feet. Since everything had happened because of him, Dustin felt relieved that he could cure Roderick’s illness, leading to a happy ending.
“Mr. Rhys, you’re too modest. If it weren’t for your help, my life would be over!” Roderick exclaimed, his face shining with gratitude. A man who couldn’t perform as expected didn’t feel like a real man. Now, because of Dustin, Roderick felt like he had a new chance at life.
“Mr. Brooks, now that Dustin has cured your illness, how do you plan to repay him?” Natasha asked, half-joking. As Roderick’s partner, she knew it was time to talk about gratitude.
“Just tell me what you need, Mr. Rhys. If I can help, I will!” Roderick said, placing his hand on his chest to show he was sincere.
“I don’t need much. I’m only interested in valuable herbs like heliotropes, cherusia, and Crimson Gem flowers. If you have them, I would greatly appreciate it,” Dustin said, stating what he wanted.
“I’ve never collected precious herbs before, but don’t worry. I’ll send someone to look for them. Once I have any information, I’ll buy them for you right away, Mr. Rhys!” Roderick promised.
“Thank you, Mr. Brooks,” Dustin replied.
“No, really. I should be the one thanking you, Mr. Rhys,” Roderick insisted, feeling deep admiration for Dustin’s remarkable skills.
At that moment, an elderly butler approached and reported, “Phineas Lacey and his son are here.”
“They want to see you. They have something to talk about,” the messenger said.
“Phineas Lacey? What is he doing here?” Roderick rubbed his chin, confused.
“It’s a small world. I never thought I’d run into them here,” Dustin said, narrowing his eyes at the mention of their names.
“Do you know these people, Mr. Rhys?” Roderick pressed for more information.
“I do. We even had a conflict,” Dustin replied. He quickly told Roderick the whole story, leaving nothing out.
After hearing everything, Roderick snorted in frustration. “Those two are truly arrogant bullies. I can’t stand people like that! Come with me, Mr. Rhys. I’ll show them what’s what today!”
