An Understated Dominance - Chapter 232
The King of Kicks made Mr. Wangley spit out blood without even trying hard. If he had used all his strength, Mr. Wangley might have died right then and there.
Were the experts from The Hundred Immortals really that powerful? “Amazing! King of Kicks, you’ve really impressed us!” Quentin exclaimed, surprised at first, but then he smiled and praised the King of Kicks. He figured that if he could befriend someone as strong as the King of Kicks, it would help him solve problems in the future.
“Mr. Wangley, are you alright?” Natasha asked, frowning slightly. She was worried about their ally being hurt before the battle had even begun. She thought the King of Kicks had gone too far.
“I’m fine,” Mr. Wangley replied, wiping the blood from his mouth. He bowed respectfully. “King of Kicks, I expected nothing less from you. I truly accept my defeat.”
“At least you know your limits,” the old man said with a proud look on his face.
“Alright, everyone. It’s time to head back and prepare. We can’t afford to lose tonight’s battle!” Natasha ordered.
As soon as she finished speaking, everyone left.
Boulderthorn had spread the word about the battle, and by 7 PM, Williams Dojo was packed. Everyone interested in martial arts came to watch. Before the main event, people were already dueling in the ring, buzzing with excitement.
Dustin and Ruth were the first to arrive at the dojo. They found their seats and waited.
“Rhys, what are you doing here?” Dustin heard a familiar voice beside him. He turned to see Julie walking over with a group of young people.
“I’m here. Why wouldn’t I be?” Dustin replied calmly.
“Julie, who is this?” asked a muscular man next to Julie.
“Otto, this is my ex-cousin-in-law. My cousin dumped him because he’s useless,” Julie said, looking down on Dustin.
“Oh, I see,” Otto said, looking at Dustin with a smirk. “With those skinny arms and legs, no wonder no woman wants you. You’re such a sissy.”
“If I’m a sissy, then what does that make you? A chimpanzee?” Dustin replied calmly.
The crowd gasped at Dustin’s words and turned to look at Otto. With his hairy body and tanned skin, he did resemble a chimpanzee, but they quickly shook off the thought.
“Hey! What do you mean? Otto is a good-looking guy! He doesn’t look like a chimpanzee at all!” someone shouted.
“Do you know who he is? He’s the kickboxing champion of our city! Show some respect!” another voice added.
“That’s right! Just look at you; Otto could easily break you!” the crowd chimed in, getting riled up.
Otto frowned at Dustin’s comment. “You! You savage! Stop being so smart. Let’s settle this with a fight!”
“I’m not interested,” Dustin said, shaking his head.
“Not interested? You must be scared,” Otto mocked. “Don’t worry; I won’t actually hurt you. We can learn from each other.”
Dustin stayed silent. Julia chimed in, “Rhys, why are you acting all tough? Are you afraid of Otto? You won’t even fight him.”
“I can fight you with one hand if you’re scared. Or just use my legs. What do you say? I dare you!” Otto challenged.
“What a coward! He won’t even fight Otto if it’s just with his legs!” someone yelled.
“Exactly! What a shame for us guys!” another added.
“Why don’t you just act like a woman?” laughed a group of young people, as if they had heard the funniest joke.
