An Understated Dominance - Chapter 233
Dustin stood in stunned silence as the crowd erupted into chaos. “Where did these crazy people come from?” he wondered. They howled and shouted like wild animals, creating a loud and frantic scene.
Ruth, who was sitting next to him, couldn’t take it anymore. “Hey, enough!” she shouted. Otto, nearby, noticed Ruth’s beauty and his eyes sparkled with interest. He was clearly drawn to her striking looks.
“Hey, gorgeous! You should really dump that coward. When danger comes, he’ll be too busy saving himself,” Otto teased.
“Yeah! You should date someone like Otto. Just look at his muscles! You’d feel safe with him!” the crowd chimed in, jeering.
Ruth shot back with a scornful laugh, “He’s so tanned and ugly. Why would any woman want him?”
“Watch your mouth, you little brat!” Otto snapped, anger rising in him.
“Fine! I’d probably take you down if you weren’t a girl!” he added, his frustration boiling over.
The crowd grew more hostile in response to Ruth’s comments.
“Calm down, everyone. Let’s not bother her. She’s just a woman. We should be gentlemen here,” Otto said, raising his hand to stop the argument. He didn’t want to lose his cool in front of someone as attractive as Ruth.
Julie joined in, smirking at Dustin. “I thought you were hiding your true self, but it turns out you’re just a loser. You only pick fights with people weaker than you and rely on women to protect you. It’s no wonder Dahlia dumped you!” she scoffed, shaking her head with disdain.
“She’s right. He didn’t even accept the challenge from Otto. What a weakling!” she thought.
“Are you finished? If so, please just leave me alone. You’re as annoying as a buzzing fly,” Dustin said, sticking his finger in his ear to block out her noise.
“You…” Julie gritted her teeth in frustration.
Her face turned red as she looked at Otto, acting playfully. “Otto, did you hear what he just said? He called me a fly! How could he?”
“Insolence! How dare you say that to my girlfriend! Apologize right now, or don’t blame me for being rude!” Otto’s expression changed. He had never liked Dustin, but now he had a perfect reason to confront him—he wanted to protect Julie.
“Apologize? Do you really think you’re worthy of that?” Dustin sneered, looking at Otto like he was foolish.
“You better give up before it’s too late! I’ll show you what a kickboxing champion can do!” Otto was furious. Without saying another word, he lunged at Dustin.
He took a small step and jumped, getting ready to unleash his signature move, Hot Knees. The move was both powerful and smooth. If he aimed it just right, he could take down his opponent easily. It was the best move for a direct attack.
“Wow, Otto is amazing!” someone in the crowd shouted.
“Did you see that? That’s Otto’s master move! He’s unstoppable!” another voice chimed in.
“Stay away from him when he uses Hot Knees!” someone warned.
The crowd cheered for Otto as he started his attack.
But in an instant, everything changed. While Otto was still in midair, Dustin struck him with a swift move, flipping him onto the ground. Otto crashed down hard, lying still as if he were knocked out.
“Otto!” The crowd gasped in shock. They had never expected a kickboxing champion like Otto to be defeated so quickly in just one move. It was unbelievable.
“How weak,” Dustin said, brushing off his hands as he sat down, finally feeling at ease.
“Otto! Otto!” the crowd called out, concerned for their champion.
A group of young people quickly rushed to help Otto after they saw what had happened. They tried to wake him up by gently slapping and pinching him.
