An Understated Dominance - Chapter 236
“What’s going on with Boulderthorn? Why would they send that big guy on stage? With his size, he’ll be out of breath after just a few steps. Can he even handle the Battle Royale?” Quentin scoffed.
“Don’t underestimate him. If Boulderthorn is sending him into the ring, he must have some special skills that could help them win. Which one of you wants to go first?” Natasha asked the group.
“I’ll take the first round, Ms. Harmon,” Stephan said as he stood up and walked into the battle ring. Among the three of them, he seemed the weakest, so it made sense for him to lead. If he could win the first match, he would set them up for success.
“Dustin, who do you think will win?” Ruth asked, curious.
“It’s hard to say. The big guy looks strange, but if Mr. Chapman can find his weak spots and attack, he might have a chance,” Dustin replied.
“Come on! That’s so narrow-minded!” Quentin frowned. “What right does he have to fight against Mr. Chapman? A few rounds of running around, and he’ll be done for!”
Dustin didn’t argue. Instead, he focused intently on the battle ring.
Meanwhile, in the ring, both fighters readied themselves as the referee climbed onto the stage.
“There are no rules in this ring. Live or die—that’s up to you. Surrendering, serious injuries, death, or being thrown out of the ring will mean you lose this round. Do you both understand?”
The referee waited for both contestants to nod before he threw his hands down.
“Let the games begin!”
With a loud shout, the energy in the ring shot up.
“I’ve heard so much about the talents trained by Mr. Williams. I’m excited to see them for myself today!”
Stephan saluted confidently and stepped forward to begin his first attack.
His plan was to take control of the fight and wear his opponent out. The man he faced was huge, and his strength was obvious. Stephan knew that attacking him directly would not be wise if he wanted to survive in the ring.
To stay safe, he needed to use his lighter body and the quickness that came with it.
Stephan moved closer to his opponent but didn’t strike head-on. Instead, he went around to the back of the big guy and slapped him on the back.
The sound of the slap echoed, but the giant didn’t budge. His body shook and wobbled, absorbing the force of Stephan’s hit without even flinching.
“So, this is how it is?” Stephan thought, narrowing his eyes. But he didn’t back down. He delivered two more sharp slaps—one to the giant’s waist and the other to his back. Both hits landed on areas that should have been sensitive, but the thick layer of flesh and fat on his opponent protected him from feeling anything.
To Stephan’s surprise, the big man didn’t react at all. He simply kept munching on a roasted mutton leg in one hand, completely ignoring Stephan’s attempts to get his attention.
Frustration started to build up inside Stephan. His hands turned into tight fists as he prepared for his next move.
Stephan pounded his fists down rapidly, throwing a flurry of punches that were wild and relentless. Despite this, the chunkster kept devouring the mutton leg with the hunger of a starving man.
Stephan’s pride had taken a hit, and it quickly turned into intense anger. Fueled by rage, he kicked the mutton right out of the chunkster’s hands and watched with satisfaction as the man turned to face him, looking stunned at first.
Then, the chunkster let out a roar and charged at Stephan with surprising speed, moving like a frantic bear. In a moment of carelessness, Stephan collided with the chunkster, and he felt himself lift off the ground.
As he soared through the air, the chunkster’s head slammed into his chest, sending him flying even further, blood spilling from his mouth. Before he knew it, he found himself on the ground, thrown out of the battle ring without even having the chance to fight back.
