“I know! Mr. Nolan must have helped us!” Lyra suddenly exclaimed, her eyes lighting up. “I called him right after I called the police. He must have sent President Anderson here.”

“Chris Nolan?” Dahlia frowned, unsure.

“Yes! Mr. Nolan is the only one who would help us and has the power to reach out to President Anderson!” Lyra said confidently.

“That makes sense,” Dahlia agreed. Just then, a red Ferrari pulled over. Chris stepped out in bright clothes, hurrying toward them.

“Dahlia! Are you okay? I came as soon as I got the call!” Chris looked worried.

“Mr. Nolan, thank you for your help. If it weren’t for you, Ms. Nicholson could be in danger,” Lyra quickly expressed her gratitude.

“Help?” Chris was taken aback. He struggled to understand. “Yes! Mr. Anderson came by just now. He came to rescue Ms. Nicholson,” Lyra smiled.

“Huh?” Chris was even more shocked.

“Mr. Nolan, I can’t believe you got President Anderson’s help. You’re amazing! I’m impressed!” Lyra praised him.

Chris’s mouth twitched in confusion. Hunter Anderson was a powerful man, and Chris had no real way to ask him for anything. In fact, he didn’t even have the chance to meet him. But seeing how things had turned out, he decided to go along with it. He figured it wouldn’t hurt him.

“Ahem, well… I was just trying. I didn’t expect Mr. Anderson to be so kind,” Chris said, adjusting his tie as he accepted the compliments.

Dustin couldn’t help but laugh. This guy was so bold. Didn’t he worry the ladies would find out the truth?

“Dustin! How dare you—”

“Laugh?” Lyra exclaimed, clearly frustrated. “Look at Mr. Nolan. He figured everything out so easily, but you? You just resort to violence and almost put Ms. Nicholson in danger!”

“Why did he show up now if he’s so great?” Dustin replied calmly.

“Even though he was late, he got Mr. Anderson’s help. Do you really think you could have walked out of Sir Spanner’s territory alive without him?” Lyra shot back, her anger rising.

“You’re the only one who thinks that. I don’t believe Chris saved me,” Dustin said, still calm.

“Hey! Why are you being so ungrateful? Mr. Nolan saved your life! Not only are you refusing to thank him, but you’re also talking nonsense. How shameless!” Lyra was clearly displeased.

“Forget it. He doesn’t appreciate help. Let’s not waste our time arguing with him,” Chris said, pretending to be generous.

“Did you see that? That’s what we call grace!” Lyra glared at Dustin. “Dustin, Mr. Nolan saved us. It wouldn’t hurt for you to thank him.”

Dahlia looked unhappy too. “Just thank him if you want. It’s none of my concern,” she said. Dustin didn’t seem to care.

“Why are you acting like this?” Dahlia frowned slightly. He didn’t even thank Chris for saving them. How could he be so petty? “I’m always like this. This isn’t the first time you’ve met me,” Dustin replied stubbornly. “And please, don’t barge into Trevor’s territory again. You’re so reckless!”

“I’m reckless? I did it to save you!” Dahlia snapped, her anger rising.

“Save me? Who asked for your help?” Dustin raised his voice. “We’re not even close! I don’t need you to play the hero. You almost got yourself killed, and now you’re acting tough. You brought this on yourself.”

Dahlia was shocked when she heard his words. She couldn’t believe Dustin would say something like that.
