An Understated Dominance - Chapter 2427
Thousands of golden whips lashed out like a fierce storm, making it impossible to escape their reach.
Bailey and his team fought back, trying to block the whips with their attacks. Each clash sent out bursts of energy and loud booming sounds.
Arion stood strong, surrounded by a golden glow as he swung his whips. Even though he was outnumbered, he still seemed to have the upper hand.
Bailey and his companions struggled to break through Arion’s defenses. Some of the weaker gods from the Hall of Gods were forced to pull back with each strike, barely managing to withstand the fierce attack.
In that moment, everyone understood just how powerful Dragonmarsh’s top martial artist really was. Even their strongest moves, enhanced by the Glow Incantation, couldn’t keep them steady.
“I won’t let these things stop me!” Bailey shouted, feeling a surge of power.
His body began to change. He grew larger and bulkier, resembling a small mountain. His shirt ripped as his muscles expanded, becoming dense and rock-hard.
Along with his size, Bailey’s hair exploded into a thick, wild coat covering his face, chest, and limbs. Sharp claws sprouted from his hands, making him look like a massive black bear standing on two legs—strong, fierce, and commanding.
After transforming, Bailey’s strength and defense soared. The golden whips that once threatened him barely left a mark on his skin. Instead, he tore them apart with his bare hands.
“Go to hell!” he roared, charging forward like a tank. He smashed through the golden whip blocking his path as if it were nothing.
As Bailey rushed toward Arion, he threw a powerful punch, slamming it against the golden light.
A deafening explosion shook the ground. The seemingly unstoppable force of Bailey was on a collision course with Arion.
The impenetrable Glow Incantation shook with the force of the blow.
The shockwave pushed Bailey back a few steps. After a moment, he stepped forward again, launching a flurry of punches against the golden light surrounding Arion. Each hit echoed like thunder, and Bailey’s powerful strikes began to weaken the shimmering barrier.
Seeing the light dim, the other elites sprang into action. While Bailey continued his attack, they used their divine powers to chip away at the defenses of the Glow Incantation. It didn’t matter that Arion was the strongest martial artist in Dragonmarsh; even the mightiest could be overcome by the combined strength of these powerful fighters.
Realizing the Glow Incantation was faltering, Arion quickly formed a one-handed seal and pointed to the sky. “Let the storm descend!” he declared.
With a deep hum, a massive Eight Trigrams Formation appeared in the night sky. It stretched over a hundred feet wide and enveloped all the enemies within its reach.
Arion formed another hand seal, causing the formation to spin rapidly. Lightning crackled and thunder roared as an invisible pressure bore down on the enemies, slowing their movements like a heavy weight pressing down on them.
“Strike down!” Arion commanded, gesturing downward.
The Eight Trigrams Formation lit up brilliantly, sending thick, purple lightning bolts crashing down. Waves of lightning rained down, striking the ground in a chaotic barrage.
The enemies caught in the formation turned pale with fear as they scrambled to escape the onslaught.
They activated their protective armor, knowing how powerful Arion’s Stormcraft could be. Even the strong Willem had been thrown aside by its force, so who would risk facing it?
But not everyone chose to hide.
Bailey, transformed and fearless, ignored the lightning strikes around him. He kept hitting Arion’s shining golden shield with his fists.
Lightning struck him again and again, yet Bailey barely reacted. He kept attacking as if it didn’t hurt at all.
His ability to take those hits amazed the fighters nearby. No one else would dare face the Stormcraft head-on like he did.
Bailey truly deserved his title as the Grizz Lord. Being a ruler in Streuqua’s underworld wasn’t something just anyone could claim; it meant he was a monster among monsters.
“Break it now!” Bailey shouted, his fists coming down with unyielding strength. Each hit was fierce and unrelenting.
After hundreds of strikes, the golden shield around Arion finally began to crack. Bailey saw his chance and drove his sharp claws into the opening.
With a tremendous pull, he tore the barrier apart. The once-impenetrable golden shield now had a gap.
“Bailey! Let me help you!” Willem called out. He transformed into a cloud of blood-red mist, weaving through the lightning to slip through the opening.
“Time to die, old man!” Willem grinned as he reformed behind Arion. He opened his bloody mouth, aiming for Arion’s neck.
