An Understated Dominance - Chapter 2429
Willem’s wings burst from his back, shining black with a metallic glow. When fully spread, they stretched over 30 feet. With a light flap, a strong wind and strange howls filled the air, creating an intimidating scene.
His appearance had changed drastically. The once handsome Willem now had a gaunt face, wrinkled skin, and prominent cheekbones. Fangs jutted from his mouth, and sharp horns sprouted from his head.
He had grown taller, but his body was unnaturally thin, his ribs showing beneath his skin. From a distance, he resembled a towering, monstrous skeleton, a sight that sent chills down people’s spines.
This was Willem’s ultimate form.
After transforming, his speed, strength, defense, and reflexes increased dramatically. He developed an even stronger thirst for blood, becoming a fierce, bloodthirsty demon.
The gods, who had just shown their frustration moments earlier, now stood frozen in shock. Fear was clear on their faces.
Transformed, Willem was more than ten times stronger than before. The savage intensity he radiated sent shivers through everyone. They realized that if he wanted, he could easily crush them.
Who would dare to speak up against such a powerful monster?
“Old man, I’m going to drain every last drop of your blood today,” Willem growled, raising his hand with sharp claws aimed at Arion.
At that moment, a bolt of lightning shot down from above, striking Willem perfectly.
But he didn’t flinch, and the lightning had no effect on him. He seemed immune to it. Along with his incredible healing ability, his physical defense was now as strong as Bailey’s, making him nearly indestructible.
“Is that the best you can do? It feels like someone just tickled me,” Willem sneered.
The strongest man in Dragonmarsh, known as the “Sage of Sacred Wrym Summit,” didn’t impress Willem at all.
Above them, a formation unleashed a storm of lightning bolts that struck Willem one after another. But he stood there, completely unharmed.
“Old man, your attacks are useless. Get ready to die!” Willem sneered before launching his own strike.
In a flash, he appeared right in front of Arion, his sharp claws aimed straight at Arion’s heart.
Suddenly, a soft hum filled the air, and a burst of golden light formed a shield in front of Arion.
Willem’s claws hit the glowing barrier with a loud thud, making the light shimmer and ripple. The shield was clearly struggling to hold up against his attack.
“Ha!” Willem laughed, undeterred. He struck again with his claws, trying to break through Arion’s Glow Incantation.
“Fire!”
Arion raised his hand and sent a red divine talisman flying toward Willem’s chest. It exploded with a deafening bang, unleashing a wave of flames that engulfed Willem.
The flames roared with heat, but to everyone’s shock, Willem didn’t cry out in pain. He remained calm as the fire surrounded him.
As the crowd gasped, Willem’s demonic wings flapped powerfully. A strong wind whipped around him, and suddenly, a fierce gust swept through the area, sending spiritual energy swirling all around.
In an instant, the flames were snuffed out, and Willem’s tough skin showed no signs of injury. Instead, waves of heat radiated from him, proving that the fire had no effect on his ultimate form.
“Now it’s my turn!” Willem grinned wickedly, flapping his wings. He transformed into a streak of black light and crashed into Arion’s golden armor.
The impact shook the ground, and the shockwave shattered the air around them.
Arion’s golden armor shattered into a shower of glowing particles.
“Yes!” everyone cheered, thrilled by what they saw.
Arion’s Glow Incantation had seemed unbeatable, and no one had been able to break it until now. Willem’s powerful blow had done the impossible, giving everyone a huge boost in morale.
“Go to hell!” Willem shouted as he flapped his wings and transformed into a streak of black light, charging straight at Arion.
“Attack!” Bailey yelled, refusing to stand by. He moved in from the other side, ready to strike Arion.
The two fighters closed in on Arion from both sides, trying to trap him and cut off any escape routes. Other strong fighters joined in, unleashing their special techniques in a relentless assault.
It was the perfect moment to strike. With Arion’s golden armor gone, his defenses were wide open. They believed a continuous attack would surely take him down.
“Soul Annihilation!” Arion called out.
Even surrounded, he stayed calm. With a wave of his hand, a massive number of divine talismans shot out, cascading down in a dense, unstoppable stream that couldn’t be avoided.
“Explode!” Arion commanded with a quick gesture. The thousands of talismans erupted like a series of bombs.
The ground shook, and the air filled with a deafening roar. Shockwaves radiated out in a 300-foot radius, flattening everything in their path. Massive trees were uprooted, and buildings collapsed into rubble.
The impact sent the elite fighters rushing toward Arion flying backward. The strongest among them managed to land and regain their footing, but the weaker ones were knocked down.
The ground was stained with blood as it flowed from their mouths and noses. With that single move, Arion stopped all the attacks coming at him and seriously injured half of his enemies.
