An Understated Dominance - Chapter 2432
As the Snow Maiden attacked, Batuul’s illusion of a giant elephant came to life.
With a loud roar, the elephant charged at Arion, its sharp tusks aimed straight for his chest.
Caught in the swirling snow, Arion couldn’t dodge in time. He quickly cast the Glow Incantation to protect himself. The tusks hit the magical barrier with a thunderous crash.
The force of the impact sent Arion flying, shattering the golden light around him like glass. Clearly, the elephant was much stronger than the Glow Incantation could handle.
While Arion was airborne, the three-headed, six-armed Chimera Wrath took its chance. Armed with six different weapons, it launched a fierce attack.
Arion swung his sword to defend himself but was pushed back with every strike. Without solid ground beneath him, he couldn’t use his agility to escape the relentless blows.
After several hits, one of the Chimera’s weapons struck him directly in the chest, sending him crashing to the ground with a loud thud. A massive crater, ten yards wide, formed where he landed.
Coughing, Arion tried to get back on his feet. But before he could recover, Bailey lunged at him, claws aimed right for Arion’s chest.
In a desperate attempt, Arion raised his sword to block the deadly strike. He barely managed to deflect it, but the force of Bailey’s attack sent him staggering back.
“Go to hell!” he shouted.
Before Arion could regain his balance, Willem appeared behind him and sank his sharp fangs deep into Arion’s neck.
Arion froze, unable to move. His skin began to wither away before everyone’s eyes.
Willem greedily drained Arion’s blood and life energy, and there was nothing anyone could do to stop him. In just moments, the once strong Arion was reduced to a lifeless shell.
Satisfied after his feast, Willem pulled away.
He laughed wildly. “Strongest man of Dragonmarsh? That title doesn’t mean much now.”
With a fierce pull, he grabbed Arion’s lifeless body and ripped it in half.
Everyone around let out a long sigh of relief, and smiles spread across their faces. They were glad they had used their strongest moves without holding back. If they hadn’t, defeating Arion might have been impossible.
Even though they had won, the victory came at a steep price. Everyone was either badly injured or completely exhausted, with little to show for the battle. The only comfort was that their greatest threat had finally been eliminated.
“Well done, everyone!” Bailey said, laughing heartily. “When we return, the Hall of Gods will reward you well.”
Despite the challenges they faced to bring down Arion, the outcome was positive. They had all put in their best effort, and their plan had worked.
“But we still have some pests to deal with. Let’s finish them off and take down Sacred Wrym Summit once and for all,” Bailey ordered.
Suddenly, a familiar voice echoed from above. “Hey, it’s not over yet! Where do you think you’re going?”
Everyone instinctively looked up, their faces frozen in shock.
In the night sky above them stood a towering figure. With white hair blowing in the wind and an otherworldly presence, he looked like an immortal coming down to earth.
It was Arion.
