An Understated Dominance - Chapter 2476
Warrick wasn’t at his strongest. With Tranqurin running through his veins, he was barely able to fight back. Axel saw this weakness as a chance he couldn’t waste. He had to capture Warrick while he could.
“Get out of my way!” Warrick shouted as the enforcers surrounded him.
In a fit of rage, he slammed his massive fist into the ground. The impact created a loud explosion, shaking the earth beneath them. The ground cracked and caved in, splintering like a spiderweb. A shockwave rushed through the air, sending dirt flying and causing walls to crumble. The entire meeting room fell apart.
The elite enforcers were thrown back like ragdolls, crashing to the ground, stunned and hurt. Even Axel was knocked back over ten yards.
Warrick breathed heavily, his face pale and covered in sweat. Using his remaining energy had only made the effects of the Tranqurin worse. He realized if he didn’t escape soon, he wouldn’t make it through the night.
“Austin! One day, you’ll pay for this!” he shouted, his voice filled with anger.
With one last burst of strength, he jumped into the air, soaring 30 feet high, and cleared the courtyard wall in a single leap.
“After him!” Axel commanded without hesitation, leading his elite enforcement team in pursuit.
At that moment, the emergency horn blared.
The West Lucozian castle went into lockdown. Every entrance and exit was sealed shut, and royal guards formed a tight net around the escaping Warrick.
Austin stood quietly, watching from a distance with an unreadable expression. No one could tell if he was pleased, angry, or indifferent.
Warrick had been drugged and was now trapped inside the castle. If he managed to escape, it would mean fate was on his side.
Under the dark night sky, Warrick ran like lightning. He had blocked some of his vital pressure points to slow the effects of the drug, but he knew it was only a temporary fix. He had at most half an hour before his strength would give out, leaving him vulnerable. His only hope was to escape the castle and reach his safe house before time ran out.
“Stop him! Don’t let him escape!” shouts rang out as the royal guards closed in.
Every exit was sealed, and there was nowhere left to run.
“Damn it!” Warrick stopped and looked around for a way out.
The West Lucozian castle was huge. He had been there many times before, but now, with enemies all around, he felt lost. Panic set in as he realized he didn’t know where he was.
With guards advancing from every direction, he had no time to think. If they caught him, things would only get worse.
“Screw it! I’ll take my chances.”
He quickly chose a direction and ran. He wasn’t looking to fight—he just wanted to escape.
Even as the guards closed in, he didn’t slow down. With the strength of a warrior close to becoming a grandmaster, he pushed through them like a battering ram.
The ordinary guards couldn’t stop him. Even in his weakened state, he was stronger than they could handle.
But they could slow him down. Even a brief delay was enough for more guards to catch up.
“Deploy the Dragon-Binding Net!” Axel commanded as he led an elite squad to surround Warrick. With perfect timing, 20 men threw a golden net and trapped him.
The net was made from Dragon Ropes, and each strand was valuable.
The Dragon-Binding Net was a powerful tool made to capture grandmaster martial artists and those even stronger. Once someone was trapped in it, their abilities would be weakened. The ropes were almost impossible to break; they could withstand blades and were resistant to fire and water. No grandmaster martial artist could escape its grip.
Warrick roared in anger as he struggled against the net. He tried to rip the ropes apart, but they held tight. The more he fought, the tighter the net became around him.
“Keep him down! Don’t let him get up!” someone shouted.
Feeling the strong force of the net, Axel’s expression grew serious. He quickly signaled his men to pull the ropes tighter and press down with all their strength.
“You cowards! Get off me!” Warrick shouted, grabbing the net and swinging it forcefully.
The ten men on the left side were thrown back, one after another, crashing to the ground.
Axel watched in disbelief. Even though Warrick was weakened by the Tranqurin, his strength was incredible. If this was how powerful he was now, how strong would he be at full power?
