An Understated Dominance - Chapter 25
“Is this what you wanted to tell me?” Dahlia stood frozen, shocked by Dustin’s words. His cold expression felt unfamiliar to her, and a wave of sadness washed over her.
“Yes! That’s exactly what I wanted to say! Stay out of my life. My problems are not your concern anymore. We are not connected anymore. Do you understand?” Dustin’s harsh tone hit her like a chill.
Dahlia felt frozen by his cruel words. She had thought he would appreciate her kindness, not blame her for it. When had they turned into enemies?
“Hey, Dustin Rhys! Are you even human?” Lyra, standing nearby, couldn’t hold back. “How can you say that to Ms. Nicholson? She was trying to help you! How can you be so ungrateful?”
“What do you want me to say? Should I thank her for barging into Trevor’s place?” Dustin replied coldly. Lyra was furious.
“Enough! From now on, I won’t get involved in your life. Whether you live or die means nothing to me!” Dahlia finally shouted, unable to contain her anger any longer. She stormed off, unnoticed tears brimming in her eyes.
“Dustin Rhys! Remember what you said today! Don’t come looking for us next time!” Lyra glared at him before rushing after Dahlia.
“What an idiot,” Chris muttered, following the two women. He saw this as an opportunity he couldn’t miss.
“Silly woman…” Confusion filled Dustin’s eyes as he watched Dahlia walk away. He had meant those words to protect her. If he hadn’t shown up in time, Trevor would have taken advantage of her. He thought cutting ties was the only way to keep her safe.
“Finally, it’s time to take action.” Dustin took a deep breath, turned around, and stared at the Drey Group’s building. He hadn’t left earlier because he was afraid; he simply didn’t want to put Dahlla in danger. Now that she was safe, he felt no worries.
Revenge was something that needed to be served cold, but Dustin was not a patient man. He needed to take revenge today!
With that thought in mind, Dustin confidently walked into the Drey Group. As he entered, people gasped in shock. He quickly locked the main door behind him. Soon, screams and cries echoed throughout the building.
The whole process took about 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, a loud bang echoed as one of the bodyguards’ lifeless bodies crashed through the office door on the top floor.
Dustin stepped over the corpse as he entered the room, looking like a devil from hell, covered in blood. The entire office was a scene of horror.
It was terrifying!
Inside the office, Trevor’s bodyguards were stunned. They stood frozen, chills running down their spines.
Dustin was like a monster; they never imagined he could be so strong. He had taken down everyone from the first floor to the top floor!
He had killed almost 200 men all by himself!
Was he even human?
“Who—who are you?” Trevor stammered, backing away. When he saw Dustin approaching, he had a smug smile, thinking Dustin must have a death wish. But soon, he realized he was completely mistaken.
Dustin didn’t have a death wish. He was on a killing spree!
