At noon the next day, Zeus and Hera were in the middle of a chess game.

Suddenly, a middle-aged man rushed into the room. He bowed deeply and said, “Greetings, Lord Zeus, Lady Hera. We’ve located Logan.”

Both Zeus and Hera looked up immediately.

“Oh? You found him? Where is he?” Zeus asked.

“This morning, two groups of mysterious individuals appeared at the Helvetica Club downtown, which falls within Hall of Gods territory. During their conversation, they mentioned Logan’s name. According to them, he’s recovering from injuries in the private chambers of an important figure.”

“Injuries?”

Zeus and Hera exchanged glances and nodded.

Logan may have defeated Poseidon, but he must’ve been seriously hurt in the process. That would explain why he had disappeared—he was in hiding, recovering.

“Do we know who this ‘important figure’ is?” Zeus asked.

“They seemed powerful. Our scouts didn’t dare get too close, so they couldn’t catch every word. I came to report immediately to avoid alerting them. The decision on how to proceed rests with you, my lord, my lady,” the man said, bowing his head lower.

Though a key member of the Hall of Gods, he knew not to act without orders. He hadn’t risen through the ranks by taking risks—he simply kept his head down and avoided mistakes.

“Useless fool! You can’t even handle a simple task,” Zeus snapped.

“I’m sorry, my lord… But Logan is an ultimate grandmaster. I’m no match for him. Only someone like you or Lady Hera could stand a chance,” the man stammered.

“Forget it. If we rely on fools like you, nothing will ever get done. We’ll take care of this ourselves,” Zeus said, rising slowly from his seat.

“I think I’ll pass on this one,” Hera said with a yawn. “Logan’s injured—you can easily handle him alone. I doubt you’ll need me.”

“He’s not the problem. It’s the old beast in Aylka. If he wakes up, I won’t be able to manage Logan alone,” Zeus replied coldly.

“Fine, I’ll go,” Hera sighed. “The sooner we finish, the better. I really don’t care for Oakvale’s weather.”

If she were back in Artea, she would still be fast asleep at this hour.
Twenty minutes later, agonizing screams echoed from the second floor of the Helvetica Club. Over a dozen martial artists lay sprawled on the ground, writhing in pain. Not one could stand.

“Where’s Logan?” Zeus asked, pressing his boot against a man’s head, staring down with indifference.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” the man growled through clenched teeth.

“Wrong answer,” Zeus said coldly.

He stomped down, crushing the man’s skull, then turned to the next person. His voice was like ice. “Tell me where Logan is.”

“Please, have mercy. I’m begging you,” the man cried, dropping to his knees. “I swear, I was just here for a drink. I don’t want any trouble. Please, spare me.”

“Pathetic,” Zeus muttered.

He raised a hand and unleashed a bolt of lightning. It tore through the man’s chest, leaving a gaping hole where his heart used to be.

Strangely, no blood flowed. The wound was charred black, burned from the inside out.

The sight left the others frozen in fear, drenched in cold sweat.

“If anyone knows where Logan is, speak now and I’ll spare your life. Stay silent, and die,” Zeus threatened, his voice hard as steel.

He was known for ruthless efficiency. He had no patience for stalling. Anyone who resisted would be struck down without hesitation.

After watching two men die in an instant, the others realized their only chance was to talk.

“I’ll count to three. If no one speaks, you all die.” Zeus slowly raised his hand, lightning crackling at his fingertips.

A crushing pressure swept through the room, squeezing the breath from everyone’s lungs.

“Three…”

“Two…”

“One…”

Just as Zeus was about to unleash his fury, a man in a green uniform broke under the pressure. “Fine! I’ll talk! I know where Logan is!” he shouted.

“Good,” Zeus said with a satisfied nod.

With a flick of his finger, a lightning serpent shot from his hand, slithering through the air at blinding speed.

In the blink of an eye, the remaining martial artists collapsed, their bodies reduced to blackened ash.

The serpent coiled back into Zeus’s hand, crackling between his fingers.

Now only the man in green remained. He stared in horror at the charred remains surrounding him.

Even as a death warrior, he hadn’t expected Zeus to be so merciless. Fear crawled up his spine.

“Talk. Where is he?” Zeus asked, his tone devoid of emotion.

The man swallowed hard.

“I-I serve Prince Matthias. Last night, a mysterious guest arrived at His Highness’s mansion. I believe his name was Logan Rhys.”

“Matthias?” Zeus narrowed his eyes. “How do I know you’re not lying?”

“This… this should prove it,” the man said, fumbling in his pocket and pulling out a badge engraved with an ornate M.

Zeus snatched it from his hand and passed it to a Hall of Gods officer standing nearby.

“Yes,” the officer confirmed with a nod. “This is an authentic guard badge from Prince Matthias’s estate.”

“Go to Matthias’s mansion. Bring Logan to me,” Zeus commanded.

Then, without hesitation, he raised his hand, killed the man in green, and vanished.
