An Understated Dominance - Chapter 382
The next day, at Swinton, a line of luxury cars arrived at Park Palace, creating a stunning spectacle. The cars moved through the streets, leaving everyone in awe of their power and elegance.
At the entrance, the whole Harmon family waited, with Jessica at the front.
When the cars stopped, Jayla stepped out first, dressed in elegant clothes and wearing a proud expression.
“Jayla, you’re here! Come in!” Jessica said with a warm smile. She was greeting Tyler’s sister, who was important to the Grant family.
Jayla nodded. “Jessica, it’s been a while. Where’s Natasha? I don’t see her.”

“She’s inside getting ready. She’ll be out soon,” Jessica replied cheerfully.
“Jayla, I have something for you since I heard you were coming. Take a look.” Quentin, standing next to them, pulled out a sapphire the size of an egg and offered it to her with both hands. He thought Jayla was not only beautiful but also came from a powerful family, making her the perfect match for him. He wanted to make a good impression.
He believed that every woman loved jewelry.
Jayla glanced at the sapphire. “Thanks.” But instead of taking it herself, she had a maid take it and put it away.
Quentin’s smile faltered as he noticed her lack of interest. He had bought that sapphire from someone named Amberson for over a hundred million dollars, hoping to impress her. Now, he felt disappointed by her reaction.
He thought to himself, “I should have chosen something cheaper.”
“Jayla, the tea is almost ready. Let’s go inside,” Jessica said, smoothing things over as she invited everyone in. Once they were seated, she asked, “So, Jayla, what brings you to Swinton this time?”
“Jessica, I’m here about my brother’s wedding,” Jayla replied. She took a sip of tea and continued, “According to the marriage agreement, there are about 20 days left before the union between the Harmons and the Grants. I just wanted to check on the preparations.”
“There’s no need to worry. The Harmons will have their annual family gathering in a few days. We’ll finalize everything then,” Jessica said with a smile.
“That sounds great,” Jayla nodded. She then shifted the topic. “But I’ve been hearing rumors that Natasha has a boyfriend. Is that true?”
Jessica’s expression changed slightly at the mention of Natasha. She waved her hand dismissively. “That’s not true. You shouldn’t believe gossip like that. Besides, who could compare to your brother in all of Balerno?”
“That’s good to hear. Just so you know, my brother is very devoted to Natasha. He has strong principles and doesn’t tolerate betrayal. If he hears these rumors, who knows how he might react?” Jayla warned, her voice carrying a hint of seriousness.
“Don’t worry. Our families will come together, and I’m confident the wedding will happen as planned,” Jessica assured her with a smile.
“Fantastic!” Jayla said, raising her eyebrows. “My brother will be back in two days. He’ll be attending the Harmons’ gathering to ask for the bride’s hand. I wanted to let you know in advance.”
“No problem at all. We’ll take care of everything.”
Jessica smiled and nodded as she made arrangements. Meanwhile, Natasha finally finished getting ready and stepped out of her bedroom.
“Natasha, you’re here! Come sit down. We were just talking about your marriage with Tyler—”
Natasha raised her hand to interrupt. “I heard everything. Jayla, I’m sorry, but we can’t go through with this marriage.”
