An Understated Dominance - Chapter 389
“I can’t choose! They all taste different, and it really depends on the time, the place, and what someone likes,” Dustin said, trying to stay neutral.
“Hmph! You’re great at talking your way out of things!” Dahlia rolled her eyes, but at least she stopped bothering him.
“You have to pick the ribs!” Natasha said forcefully, confident that she had Dustin under her spell. He just smiled, feeling a bit nervous.
“Come with me, dear. I need to talk to you,” Natasha said after their intense lunch.
Dahlia pretended to take a casual stroll nearby to eavesdrop. But Natasha quickly noticed her and pulled Dustin into her car, shutting everyone else out.

“What do you want to talk about?” Dustin asked, curious.
“I’ll be honest,” Natasha said suddenly. “I might have to leave Swinton for a while.”
“Leave Swinton? Where are you going?” he asked, surprised.
“I need to go to my hometown in Millsburg,” she replied, her expression turning serious. “I have some family issues to deal with, and I need to handle it right away.”
“What’s going on? Do you need my help?” he asked carefully. He knew it must be something serious since Natasha rarely looked so grave.
“It’s fine. It’s just a private matter. I can manage it myself,” she said with a forced smile. She wanted to tell him everything, but she couldn’t. Despite Dustin’s impressive martial arts skills, he wouldn’t be able to take on the Grant Family.
The Grants were one of The Tremendous Three, a powerful group that had influence in the military, government, and business.
invincible in the Southern province.
One person couldn’t stand up to a powerful family like the Grants, and Natasha didn’t want to drag him into her troubles.
“Natasha, you have to tell me if you’re in trouble. Don’t pretend everything’s okay,” he said seriously.
“Don’t worry. I know how to handle it.” She smiled at him, feeling relieved. Seeing him worry about her made the risk feel worth it.
“How long will you be in Millsburg?” he asked.
“I’m not sure. It could be three days or maybe seven.”
“Okay. I’ll call you in three days. If you still need help, I’ll come see you,” he said firmly.
“No, that’s not necessary,” she said, shaking her head. But he interrupted her. “You have to listen to me this time!”
“Alright,” she finally agreed, nodding helplessly, but her heart was filled with joy.
Just then, someone knocked on the car window. It was Dahlia, looking angry. “What are you two talking about? Are you done yet? Should I bring you tea?”
Dustin coughed awkwardly and smiled. “I’ll step out now.” He opened the door to get out.
“Wait!” Natasha suddenly leaned in, wrapping her arm around his neck and kissed him softly.
He was taken by surprise, feeling the sweetness of her lips. His body froze, and his thoughts scattered. Was she doing this again? This time, she was bolder and more passionate.
“You—” Dahlia glared at them and pulled Dustin out of the car. Embarrassed and furious, she shouted, “Natasha Harmon, what are you doing?”
“Not bad! He’s getting better at kissing,” Natasha said, licking her lips with a smirk.
She gave a playful smile and said to Dustin, “Stay home while I’m gone. I’ll be back in two days for you.”
Then, she pressed the gas pedal and drove off quickly.
Dahlia watched her leave, fuming. “She’s so shameless!” she exclaimed, frustrated that she could never act like Natasha did.
