An Understated Dominance - Chapter 396
The Nicholsons stared in shock at the three gold-tier assassins before turning their eyes to Dustin, who looked completely unfazed. No one had expected him to be so powerful. If they hadn’t seen it with their own eyes, they would have laughed at the idea of someone they considered useless being skilled in martial arts.
“Am I seeing things? When did this loser become a hero?” James exclaimed, his eyes wide in disbelief. He had always thought of Dustin as a man who lived off his wife and only knew a few worthless martial arts moves that wouldn’t stand a chance against top assassins. But Dustin’s performance had completely changed his mind. He was stunned to realize that his ex-brother-in-law was actually an expert in martial arts.
“Is that really Dustin?” Florence gasped, equally shocked. She didn’t know much about the gold-tier assassins from the Bounty League, but she did know that Tarragon and Cougar were no pushovers. If Dustin could beat Hillcrest, he must be far superior to Tarragon and Cougar.
“What the heck? Was that really their useless live-in son-in-law?” Dakota rubbed her eyes, trying to believe what she just saw. Had Dustin really taken down the three gold-tier assassins? Was it due to his skills, or were the assassins just overrated?
“He’s tougher than I thought. We need to deal with him quickly,” Gloria said, her shock turning into plotting. She realized that she couldn’t defeat Dustin in a martial arts fight, so her only option was to use her influence to intimidate him. She believed he wouldn’t dare stand up to the Nicholson Family, despite his impressive martial arts abilities.

Meanwhile, Dahlia was…
Dustin stared at Edwin Hummer with surprise. He had kept his skills a secret during his three years of marriage, and now it was clear just how well he had hidden them.
“Edwin, the assassins you hired aren’t up to the task. I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed today,” Dustin said, looking up with a playful glint in his eyes.
“Y-you’ve been hiding your skills from us!” Edwin’s face turned serious. He had thought he could easily get revenge with three gold-tier assassins, but he had misjudged Dustin.
“Hide my skills?” Dustin smiled. “I’ve never needed to. People like you don’t require me to show my full strength.”
“I can see that I underestimated you. But don’t get too happy! I’m still in this,” Edwin warned, his tone dark.
“Oh? Do you really think you can get out of this?” Dustin asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Even if I can’t, I’ll take everyone down with me!” Edwin suddenly ripped his shirt open to reveal bombs strapped to his body.
He laughed maniacally. “Look at this! Before I came here, I decided I’d die with everyone. These bombs are enough to turn the villa to ashes!”
Everyone around them felt a wave of fear wash over them. Edwin was truly dangerous!
“Dustin Rhys, are you afraid now?” Edwin cackled. “It doesn’t matter how skilled you are; you can’t survive a bombing.”
“What do you want?” Dustin stepped forward, positioning himself to shield Dahlia.
