An Understated Dominance - Chapter 399
energy wave surged through the air, and dust flew everywhere.
Edwin’s laughter echoed in the chaos. “Goodbye, Dustin!” he shouted, reveling in his apparent victory.
Back at the villa, Dustin stood firm, the energy shield shimmering around him. “You really thought you could take me down that easily?” he said, shaking his head. With a flick of his wrist, he dispelled the shield and focused on Edwin, who was still grinning madly.
Meanwhile, Dahlia and James were racing back toward the villa, panic etched on their faces. “Dustin!” Dahlia called out, her heart pounding. She felt a desperate need to help him.
“Why are you going back?” Florence yelled, pulling Dahlia closer. “You’ll get yourself killed!”

“Mom, Dustin is in danger! I can’t just leave him!” Dahlia’s voice trembled with fear and determination.
“Think about this! He got himself into trouble. Why should we risk our lives for him?” Florence argued, trying to hold her daughter back.
But Dahlia couldn’t listen. “That’s not fair! He just saved James! We can’t abandon him!” She broke free from Florence’s grip and dashed toward the villa.
They heard a loud explosion that shook the ground, and Dahlia froze for a second, terror gripping her. “Dustin!” she cried again, rushing forward with James close behind her.
As they neared the villa, the smoke and debris clouded the air, but Dahlia’s resolve only grew stronger. She had to find Dustin and make sure he was okay, no matter the cost.
The explosion turned the villa into rubble, sending thick black smoke and bright flames into the air.
“Dustin?” Dahlia stared at the ruins, unsure of what to do. Could anyone survive when the whole villa was destroyed?
“How did this happen? How?” Her face was pale, as if she had been struck by lightning. Overwhelmed, she sank to the ground, crying loudly.
“Hey, why are you crying?” A familiar voice sent a chill down her spine. When she looked up, she was shocked to see Dustin standing in front of her, unharmed, emerging from the wreckage.
“Are you not dead? How is that possible?” She was confused, staring at him in disbelief. The blast had been so powerful that it melted steel, and she couldn’t understand how he had survived.
“Why are you surprised that I’m alive?” Dustin looked at her with a puzzled expression.
“You’re alive! That’s wonderful!” Overjoyed, she rushed into his arms, holding him tightly around the waist, afraid he might disappear again.
