An Understated Dominance - Chapter 402
“Hey, why are you so stubborn?” Dustin’s single-mindedness made Ruth very angry. “My sister didn’t tell you for your own good. If she did, you could end up in serious danger!”
“Hmph! I’ve faced tough times for years. What haven’t I seen? I stand by what I said—if you won’t tell me, I’ll just ask someone else!” Dustin replied firmly.
“You…” Ruth stamped her feet in frustration, not knowing how to respond. After a moment, she shook her head in defeat. “It looks like my sister was right: you won’t give up. I really don’t know if this is good or bad. Didn’t you say you wanted to go to Millsburg to see my sister? Fine, I’ll take you there, but you have to listen to me. Don’t do anything reckless! If you do, my sister and I could get caught up in your trouble too. Got it?”
“Alright!” Dustin agreed. Right now, he just wanted to see if Natasha was okay.
“Get ready. I’ll wait for you in the car,” Ruth said, heading straight to the vehicle.

Just then, Maximus, who had heard the noise, walked over. “Dustin, are you going out?”
“Yeah, I’m heading to Millsburg for a few days. Can you help take care of the house while I’m gone?” Dustin said, patting Maximus on the shoulder.
“Of course! Just call me if you need anything!” Maximus replied confidently.
“Okay.” Dustin nodded, grabbed his bags, then got into the car.
With Maximus—who was very skilled—around, everything should be fine back home in Swinton.
The car sped off towards Millsburg. After half a day, they finally arrived at a small villa with a garden in the evening.
Ruth and Dustin got out of the car.
“Ms. Ruth, you’ve arrived!”
Dustin Rhys had just arrived when a friendly-looking middle-aged man walked out of the villa.
“Mr. Robinson, this is Dustin Rhys. You’ll be taking care of his meals and accommodations for the next few days,” Ruth said, introducing them.
“Hello, Mr. Rhys,” Mr. Robinson said with a respectful bow.
“Ruth, what kind of place did you bring me to?” Dustin asked, surprised.
“This is your temporary lodging. Mr. Robinson used to work for the Harmon family, so you can trust him. If you need anything, just let him know,” Ruth explained.
“That’s not what I meant. Where’s your sister?” Dustin pressed.
“My sister can’t meet you yet. Just stay here for a few days, and when the time is right, I’ll set up a meeting,” Ruth replied.
“Then you have to at least tell me what happened,” Dustin frowned.
“Water won’t boil if you watch it. The situation isn’t good right now. Knowing too much won’t help you either. If you trust my sister, then please wait a couple of days,” Ruth said seriously.
“But—” Dustin started to say, but Ruth cut him off.
“Before we came here, we agreed that you would listen to me. If you can’t do that, then you should go home!”
“Fine, I’ll wait!” Dustin sighed, realizing he had no choice. He was already in Millsburg, and if trouble came, he could help later.
“Great. Just stay here, and I’ll contact you if anything happens,” Ruth said before getting into her car and leaving. She had snuck out, so she couldn’t stay long.
“Mr. Rhys, please have some tea,” Mr. Robinson offered, handing him a cup.
“Thank you,” Dustin replied.
