An Understated Dominance - Chapter 407
Mike looked over at Dustin, who was standing next to Mr. Robinson. He felt uneasy about Dustin’s calm attitude and good looks.
“This is Mr. Rhys, our family’s honored guest. He’s here to help out,” Mr. Robinson said.
“Help out?” Abigail scoffed. “He hasn’t said a word since he got here. How is that helping?”
“Exactly! He may be good looking, but he’s such a scaredy-cat,” the girl with short hair added, shaking her head.
The other girls didn’t say anything, but they clearly shared the same opinion about Dustin. What was the point of being handsome if he ran away at the first sign of trouble? He seemed completely unreliable.

“A man should act like one, buddy. If you’re scared, you shouldn’t try to break up a fight. You might get hurt,” Mike laughed, giving Dustin a light pat on the shoulder.
Dustin just smiled and didn’t respond, not bothered by their comments.
“Now that everything is settled, let’s head back,” Mr. Robinson said, trying to ease the tension. He turned to his daughter, “Abigail, I’ve told you many times not to run around at night, especially in places like this. It’s dangerous! Hurry up, we’re going home now.” He took her wrist.
“Let me go!” Abigail pulled his hand away, frustrated. “You can go back alone! What I do is none of your business!”
“What are you doing? I’m just worried about you,” Mr. Robinson said, frowning.
“Worried about me? What’s the point?” Abigail replied with a scoff. “Even if I get into trouble, what can you do? It was their fault, and you just kept apologizing! You might not feel embarrassed, but I do!”
“I’m just looking out for you. Your safety is what matters most, and there was no need to make things worse,” Mr. Robinson explained.
“Does that mean I’m supposed to put up with
Abigail felt a wave of disappointment wash over her. “You always get treated like this. Do you know why I hate you? Because you’re a coward! Please, don’t ever come around my friends again. Having a father like you is the biggest embarrassment of my life!”
Mr. Robinson stood frozen, speechless. He wanted nothing more than for his daughter to feel safe and happy.
“What are you waiting for? Just leave!” Abigail shouted, pointing towards the door. “Go away!” She felt ashamed and angry. Why was her father just a servant who had to tiptoe around others, while other kids had successful and famous dads?
“Uncle Robinson, you should head back now. Don’t worry. I’ll take care of Abigail,” Mike said with a reassuring smile. It was unusual to see a father being scolded like this by his daughter.
“Thank you,” Mr. Robinson said, forcing a smile as he turned to leave.
Suddenly, there was a commotion at the entrance of the karaoke bar. A man in a suit stormed in, followed by a group of men.
“There! Gather them up!” the suited man shouted.
The men pulled out their knives and surrounded the room, their fierce looks scaring everyone inside. As students, they felt helpless against such weapons.
“Wait!” Mike stepped forward. “I’m warning you. This place belongs to Lord Horst, a friend of my dad. You’ll regret it if you touch us!”
“Are you threatening me?” The man slapped Mike hard, sending him crashing to the ground. “So what? I’m his brother!”
His words sent a chill through the room.
