An Understated Dominance - Chapter 411
“Your men really don’t seem useful. Isn’t it my turn to attack now?” Dustin said with a lazy yawn.
Lord Horst’s face became serious. He recognized almost every skilled fighter in Millsburg, but Dustin puzzled him.
Could Dustin be from somewhere else?
“I respect your fighting skills, kid, but I don’t think you can stop a bullet,” Lord Horst said, shaking off his surprise. “I’ve seen people like you before—thinking they can stir up trouble just because they have some talent. But in the end, they all ended up shot. In this world, skills aren’t enough; you need power and connections too. How about a bet? I can easily send you to prison with just a few words.”
Edmund and the others started to worry about Dustin. He was a good fighter, but he was no match for Lord Horst.

Even without considering Horst’s family ties, the men he commanded were more than Dustin could handle. How could one person possibly defeat thousands?
“Ha! So what if you can fight? You’re still losing to Lord Horst!” Mike scoffed, forgetting how foolish he looked earlier.
“You’re Lord Horst, right? I suggest you don’t provoke me. I’m not scared of the consequences, but you might not have time to regret it if I end up killing you,” Dustin warned.
Lord Horst’s face twitched. He was experienced in these situations but knew that clashing with someone as reckless as Dustin wouldn’t end well.
“Alright, enough talking. Let Mr. Robinson and the others go for now. We’ll settle this later,” Dustin said.
Dustin kept a calm expression on the outside, but inside, he was already thinking of ways to get rid of Lord Horst and his men. If they continued to bother him, he wouldn’t hesitate to end their threats for good. It would be a favor to society.
“Fine. I’ll let them go this time,” Lord Horst finally agreed.
“What are you waiting for? Get out of here!” the man in the suit shouted.
“Y–yes! Right away!” Mike quickly led the students out of the room.
As they were leaving, Abigail turned to Dustin. After seeing his bravery, she had changed her mind about him. “What about you?” she asked.
“I’ll be fine. Go with your father. Really, I’ll be okay.” Dustin smiled gently at her.
“Mr. Rhys…” Edmund wanted to speak up, but Dustin raised his hand to stop him.
“You’ll only distract me. Just go home,” Dustin insisted.
Though Edmund looked unsure, he eventually left with Abigail. Dustin was right; they wouldn’t be able to help him. Still, Edmund could ask the Harmon family for assistance. He believed Ruth’s support would keep Lord Horst from bothering Dustin too much.
“Hey, kid. Your friends are gone. Isn’t it time to settle our score?” Lord Horst finally said.
“How do you want to do that?” Dustin replied, still smiling.
“You seem pretty skilled. Why not work for me? I promise to drop this matter, and you’ll live a wealthy life!” Lord Horst suggested.
“Really? I thought you were going to take this to the end,” Dustin said, surprised.
“I have nothing against you. There’s no need to take things too far over something so small. I’ve been through this before. Right now, I’m only interested in money, not excitement,” Lord Horst said as he lit a cigarette.
“Interesting,” Dustin smiled. “To tell you the truth…”
“I was ready to kill all of you, but I’ve changed my mind,” Dustin said.
Lord Horst froze, surprised. The cigarette he was smoking dropped from his mouth and fell to the floor.
“Damn it! Dustin was acting like one of those reckless hotheads!”
