An Understated Dominance - Chapter 422
The ladies at the table pulled back in fear. Nelson looked terrified, as if he had just seen a ghost. He quickly moved away, worried that Dustin might turn on him next. The only one who remained calm was Patrick.
“Can you tell me what you have against Harry?” Patrick asked coolly.
“Nothing,” Dustin replied, shaking his head.
“Do you have a grudge against him?” Patrick pressed on.
“Nope,” Dustin answered.

“Then why did you kill him?” Patrick wanted to know.
“Because he deserved to die,” Dustin stated flatly.
“Why?” Patrick continued, feeling angry. He couldn’t stand people who killed without reason. No matter how powerful they were, they didn’t deserve to be his friends.
“Mr. Hill, doesn’t the vodka smell wonderful?” Dustin suddenly asked, avoiding Patrick’s question.
“Why does that matter?” Patrick frowned. “It smells really good. Too good, actually.”
Dustin then took out a silver needle and dipped it into the glass of vodka. When he pulled the needle back out, the tip was black.
“It’s poisoned?” Patrick’s face went pale. The needle made it clear that the vodka was not just dangerous, but extremely deadly!
“How could that be?” The crowd exchanged terrified glances, realizing they had almost drunk the same vodka.
“This is why I killed him,” Dustin said calmly. “Harry pretended to be nice while secretly planning something deadly. Should I have left a man like that alive?”
“I see…” Patrick quickly understood. Dustin had figured out Harry’s plan before anyone else. It made sense why Dustin had acted so decisively while Patrick had been in the dark.
“Even if the drink was poisoned, you can’t prove that Harry did it,” one of the ladies said stubbornly, unable to accept Dustin’s actions.
“How could he kill someone without proof?” she added.
“Both the vodka and the…”
“Do you really think he had nothing to do with this?” Dustin asked. “I was testing him earlier, but he just kept changing the subject and trying to get me to drink. What else could that mean?”
The women fell silent, realizing that things did seem strange. After all, no ordinary man would let someone humiliate his woman without reacting.
“You’re so observant, Dustin. I’m impressed!” Patrick said, smiling. It was rare to see someone as strong and sharp-eyed as Dustin.
“Do you agree with what I said, Nelson?” Dustin asked, looking at the man in the corner.
“Huh?” Nelson exclaimed, startled. He quickly dropped to his knees, sweating nervously. “It wasn’t me, sir! I had no idea! Harry planned this on his own! Please don’t kill me!”
“Why are you so scared? I never said I was going to kill you,” Dustin said, helping Nelson stand up. “I know a good man like you wouldn’t do something like this.”
“Thank you, sir! Thank you so much!” Nelson cried, tears streaming down his face. He was terrified, especially with Harry’s body lying next to him, the dead man’s eyes staring right at him.
“Take care of this situation. You’re in charge of the gang from now on,” Dustin instructed, giving Nelson a reassuring pat on the shoulder.
Nelson’s legs went weak, and he sank to the floor, trembling. It was hard to believe that the powerful Lord Horst of the Flame Dragon Gang was shaking in fear.
