An Understated Dominance - Chapter 426
“The gold is tempting, but I don’t want it,” Dustin said, shaking his head. “So I can’t accept your conditions.”
“If you don’t want gold, then tell me what you want,” Hector replied, raising his chin.
“Mr. Harmon, I must be honest. Natasha should choose her own marriage. As her parent, you shouldn’t interfere,” Dustin stated firmly.
“What?” Hector frowned. “Are you trying to teach me how to handle my family?”
“I’m just speaking the truth,” Dustin replied calmly. “As parents, shouldn’t you want your children to be happy in their marriages?”

“Hmph! What do you know?” Hector scoffed.
At that moment, Jessica couldn’t keep quiet any longer. “Do you even know who Natasha’s fiancé is? It’s Tyler Grant, a natural genius and the future star of Dragonmarsh! Marrying him is the best chance for Natasha’s future!”
“That’s up to Natasha to decide. If she doesn’t want to marry him, no one should force her,” Dustin countered.
“Are you challenging the authority of the Harmon family?” Hector’s face darkened.
“Mr. Harmon, I don’t want to be your enemy, but I’ll take the risk for Natasha. I’ll say it again: if she doesn’t want to marry, no one can make her!” Dustin’s voice was strong and clear.
“Hmph! What an arrogant young man!” Hector’s eyes grew cold. “I’ve tried to be polite for Natasha’s sake, but if you keep being stubborn, don’t blame me for turning against you!”
“Dustin! Please don’t provoke my father. It won’t end well for you,” Ruth warned urgently.
Her father was the head of the Harmon family. He had a lot of power and was known for being firm. Even though Dustin had some skills, he was no match for Hector.
Dustin was having a tense conversation with Mr. Harmon.
“Mr. Harmon, you’re the one being stubborn, not me,” Dustin said confidently.
Hector smirked at Dustin’s boldness. “Fine! I’ll give you three days. If you leave Millsburg in that time, I won’t hold it against you. But if you stay, you’ll face the consequences!” With that, Hector turned to leave.
“Wait!” Dustin called out suddenly.
“What? Did you change your mind?” Hector replied, looking at him with disdain. He would respect Dustin for sticking to his guns, but if Dustin backed down easily, Hector would think even less of him.
“Mr. Harmon, it seems your health is not great. You probably won’t last three days,” Dustin said bluntly.
“What are you talking about?” Hector frowned.
“You have a dark complexion, yellowing eyes, and your breath smells foul. I believe you’ve been poisoned with voodoo,” Dustin explained.
“That’s nonsense!” Hector scoffed. “Do you think you can scare me? You’re underestimating me!”
“Mr. Harmon, I’m warning you. The voodoo you’re suffering from is serious. It could flare up within three days, and you might lose your life!” Dustin said seriously.
“Stop talking nonsense!” Hector snapped, refusing to engage further. He turned away and walked off. He felt fine, able to eat, drink, and even run, so he didn’t believe he was poisoned. Plus, his meals were carefully prepared by trusted people.
It was clear to everyone that it was impossible to poison him.
As Hector and the others got into their car, Dustin didn’t try to stop them. Instead, he turned to Ruth and asked, “Is your sister okay? Where is she? Can I meet her?”
Ruth started to respond, but before she could say much, Jessica interrupted. “Ruth! What are you waiting for? Let’s go home!”
“Coming!” Ruth replied. She quickly added, “Dustin, my sister is safe for now. She will find a way to contact you. Just be careful!”
With that, she rushed off.
