An Understated Dominance - Chapter 427
“Natasha is engaged to Tyler Grant?” Dustin said, narrowing his eyes as he watched the car drive away. He realized this engagement was a calculated move between two powerful families, and Natasha was just a pawn in their game. Born into a wealthy family, she had everything but her freedom, often having to make sacrifices for her family’s interests.
Dustin knew he couldn’t let this happen. He took out his phone and dialed a specific number.
“Hello, Nelson. I need you to look into someone for me,” he said.
“Sure thing! Who do you want me to investigate, Sir Rhys?” Nelson replied.
“Tyler Grant,” Dustin answered.

“Tyler Grant?” Nelson’s voice rose in surprise. “Sir Rhys, why do you want to investigate him?”
“To deal with him. Do you think I’m just inviting him out for lunch?” Dustin said, impatiently.
“What?” Nelson sounded shocked and nervous. “Sir Rhys, please don’t scare me like that. I’m easily frightened. I can’t handle this!”
“What’s wrong? Is Tyler really that powerful?” Dustin asked.
“He’s much more than that! Sir Rhys, he’s like the living King of Hell. We can’t provoke him! He could destroy the Flame Dragon Gang if we cross him!” Nelson’s voice trembled as if he might cry.
Dustin couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Was he really sending his new gang into danger? The first task he had as the new leader was to go against Tyler? It felt like a suicide mission.
Tyler was known as a once-in-a-century genius and was set to lead the Grant family. Even though he was only in his thirties, he had already fought in many battles and won numerous awards. He had earned the title of General Tiger, and everyone knew he was not someone to mess with.
Dustin held a high-ranking position, and he was not just powerful, but also very talented. He led an army of tens of thousands, making him a force to be reckoned with. Anyone who angered him would be in serious trouble.
“Why are you so worried? I didn’t tell you to kill him. I just want you to find out more about him,” Dustin said calmly.
“Sir Rhys, if you have any bad ideas, you should forget them. It would be safer to jump off a building than to upset Tyler,” Nelson replied, his voice shaking with fear.
“Enough with the nonsense! Just do what I said!” Dustin shouted.
“Yes, yes… I’ll do it right away,” Nelson quickly agreed. He didn’t dare say anything else. Inside, he hoped that Dustin wouldn’t make a reckless move, or the Flame Dragon Gang would face serious problems.
Meanwhile, at the Hill family’s home, an old man with a white beard lay on the bed. He looked pale and weak, and a basin under the bed was filled with bloody phlegm. A group of Hill family members gathered anxiously around him.
Paul Hill, the head of the family, had four sons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. He also had many grandchildren, making for a large family.
“Spring! Wasn’t Father doing okay yesterday? How did his injuries get worse?” Autumn paced back and forth, clearly worried. He was known for being impatient among the brothers.
“Autumn, you know Father has a long-term illness. No doctor has been able to cure it,” Spring replied, shaking his head with a sigh. “If he had taken better care of himself, it wouldn’t be such a big issue. But he pushed himself to his limits this time. He was too impulsive!”
“Gosh…” Autumn grumbled, “Why does he have to push himself so hard at his age?”
“Enough talking. Let’s go to Stoneray Valley and bring Dr. Linden here to treat Father,” Summer said suddenly.
“Dr. Linden is in seclusion right now, so he can’t come. But I’ve already called Mr. Turner to help us. He should arrive soon,” Spring responded.
“Then hurry and urge them to get here! Why are they taking so long?” Autumn’s anxiety was growing.
“Oh no! Grandfather is coughing up blood again!” a strong young man shouted in shock.
This was Torben Hill, Autumn’s son. He had tan skin and a muscular build.
“What should we do? He keeps coughing up blood. Is something wrong with Father?” Autumn asked, panic in her voice.
