“Oh, and don’t take the silver needles out of the patient’s body for another three hours. That’s all. Now, it’s time to settle the payment,” Dustin said firmly. He had come to treat Paul as a favor to Patrick, but he still wanted to be paid for his work. He didn’t want to make the trip for free.

“The payment isn’t a problem, but we need to check on my father’s condition first,” Spring said, signaling Nicholas with his eyes.

Nicholas quickly stepped forward to check Paul’s pulse. When he felt it, his eyes widened in surprise.

“How is he? Is something wrong with my father?” Everyone felt a wave of anxiety wash over them.

“No, no, no! Mr. Hill’s pulse is very steady. Most of the stagnant blood has been cleared, and the damaged meridians are healing well. It’s truly remarkable!” Nicholas said excitedly.

The combination of the Gemiphen and the amazing acupuncture technique had produced incredible results.

“Geez! You scared me! Can’t you just finish your thoughts?” Torben complained angrily. If anything happened to his grandfather, he would have a reason to blame Dustin and hold Patrick responsible.

“The experts from Stoneray Valley have confirmed it. So, you can relax now,” Dustin replied calmly.

“We are truly thankful to you, young man,” Spring said, expressing his gratitude.

“You’re welcome. You’re paying me to treat your father, after all,” Dustin replied.

“Please go to the living room and have some tea while you rest,” Spring smiled. He then turned to Autumn and said, “Go get the money for this young man.”

“Yes,” Autumn replied.

Dustin gave the servant a long look before he turned to leave. He followed the servant into the living room.

The Hill residence was huge, taking up an entire mountain. Tall walls surrounded it, and many villas were scattered throughout the area. A dozen guards were on duty all day and night, making it very secure. It would be nearly impossible for anyone without permission to enter.

Ten minutes later, Autumn and Torben walked into the living room, holding a check.

“Here you go, young man. This is your reward,” Torben said with a smirk.

Dustin took the check but frowned. “Did you make a mistake? I asked for 300 million, not three million.”

“Of course not,” Torben replied arrogantly. “Even the experts from Stoneray Valley only charged us three million. You’re just an unknown doctor from who-knows-where. You should be grateful we’re paying you this much.”

“I don’t care what others charge. We agreed on 300 million, and it must be that amount, not a penny less,” Dustin said coldly.

Torben glared at him. “You little brat! Don’t push your luck! Three million is more than enough for someone like you to live comfortably for years. If you have any sense, take the check and get out of here!”

“Are you planning to break your word?” Dustin narrowed his eyes at Torben.

“So what if we are?” Torben sneered. “Look around! Do you really think a nobody like you can just take 300 million dollars?”

“I never expected the Hill family to be untrustworthy. I’m really disappointed,” Dustin replied.

“Shut up!” Torben shouted as he grabbed Dustin by the collar. “Listen closely: you have two options. Take the three million and leave, or I’ll break your legs and throw you out!”

“Three million… It’s barely…”

“That’s enough to buy your coffin,” Dustin said as he picked up the check and tossed it right at Torben’s face.
