An Understated Dominance - Chapter 436
“Young man, we need your help again,” Spring said.
Dustin replied calmly, “I can treat your father and save his life, but I hope you and your family will honor your promise to pay me the full amount. I’d rather not deal with coercion or intimidation.”
“Coercion? Intimidation? What are you talking about?” Spring looked confused.
“Maybe you should ask the two people beside you about their actions,” Dustin suggested.
“What’s going on, Autumn?” Spring frowned, turning to his brother.

Autumn hesitated, unsure how to explain the situation without exposing the wrongdoing.
“Uncle Spring, I know what’s happening. Uncle Autumn and the others reduced Dustin’s payment from 300 million to just three million without permission, and they even threatened him!” Patrick said seriously.
“Autumn! Have you lost your mind?” Spring’s expression darkened. “Dustin saved our father’s life. He is our family’s benefactor. How can you treat him like this? Do you think our father’s life is only worth three million?”
“I just don’t think he deserves that much money,” Autumn muttered.
“That’s nonsense!” Spring glared at him. “Dustin has the skills. Why shouldn’t he get paid fairly? You’ve made a mistake and show no regret. Go to the shrine and kneel! Think about what you’ve done!”
“Spring…” Autumn started to protest.
“Get out!” Spring interrupted angrily.
Autumn knew he had no choice but to obey. He reluctantly knelt at the shrine.
“And you!” Spring turned his glare on Torben.
Torben shrank back, not daring to argue.
Torben shot a resentful glance at Dustin before leaving.
“I’m really sorry, Dustin. I didn’t teach them their manners. Please forgive me,” Spring said, looking quite ashamed.
“It’s okay, as long as I get the money,” Dustin replied, waving his hand. After all, he hadn’t lost anything, so it didn’t bother him much.
“Patrick, go and personally get the money for Dustin. Make sure you do it right,” Spring instructed.
“Of course,” Patrick nodded and quickly left.
Soon enough, a check for 380 million was handed over to Dustin.
“Thank you, Dustin. We owe you a lot today,” Spring said as she took out a silver guest token and presented it to him with both hands. “This is the Hill family’s guest token. With it, you’re an honored guest of the Hill family. You can enter all their places freely, and if you ever run into trouble, you can ask for their help with this token.”
“Dustin, you have to take it. It’s a valuable item that can help you in many situations,” Patrick added eagerly.
The guest token of the Hill family was something many people wished they could have. It meant they had the Hill family’s support, giving them a lot of freedom in South City.
“Well, since it’s so valuable, I’ll accept it,” Dustin said with a smile as he put the token away.
As one of the Tremendous Three, the Hill family had significant power across the seven provinces of Balerno. Dustin knew he might need their help someday.
“If there’s nothing else, I’ll be going now,” Dustin said, ready to leave.
“Patrick, please see Dustin off,” Spring said with a smile.
“This way, please,” Patrick said, gesturing for Dustin to follow him as they walked out together.
Spring watched as the two departed.
As the figures left, his smile slowly disappeared, turning into a cold expression.
“He’s skilled in both medicine and martial arts. Not bad at all. He unintentionally messed up my plans.” He said this while flipping his palm, showing a silver needle.
It was the same needle that had been taken from Paul’s body!
