At noon, Dustin sat in Ruth’s car as they drove to the Harmon estate.

The Harmon family, known as the Fabulous Five, had a luxurious headquarters. The estate featured a man-made lake, a garden with artificial hills, farms, wineries, and many beautiful villas.

Hundreds of guards watched over the property, and dozens of staff members worked there, showcasing the family’s wealth and power.

As Dustin looked at the garden, he thought about the family gathering set for tomorrow.

“We’re here,” Ruth said as the silver Bentley pulled up to the main villa. Once they got out of the car, they saw Jessica waiting for them with two servants at the entrance.

“You’re here,” Jessica said, giving Dustin a sharp look. “Yesterday, you said my husband was poisoned with mystic poison. Is that true?”

“You wouldn’t have come to me if it wasn’t,” Dustin replied, which made Jessica narrow her eyes. She wouldn’t have sought him out if her husband, Hector, hadn’t fallen seriously ill. Even the family doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong.

“Let me ask you again. Are you sure you can cure him?” Jessica pressed.

“I can’t say for sure. It depends on how serious his condition is. If it’s not too far gone, treatment will be easier, but if it has progressed, it will be much harder,” Dustin explained, not making any promises.

“Follow me,” Jessica said, turning away with a frown.

Dustin and Ruth quickly followed her to a ward filled with medical equipment. Several specialists were there, trying to figure out a treatment plan while Hector lay unconscious on the bed. His once charming face had turned blue, and his lips were tinged with purple from the strong poison.

Dustin moved closer to the bed and checked Hector’s pulse.

Before checking Hector’s eyes and mouth, Dustin was now certain that Hector had been poisoned with a very strong toxin.

“Dustin, how’s my dad? Can you help him?” Ruth asked nervously.

“It’s a bit complicated, but I can try,” Dustin replied after giving it some thought.

“Try?” Jessica frowned. “This is his life we’re talking about! Are you serious?”

“Mrs. Harmon, this isn’t just any poison. We have to take a risk if we want to save him,” Dustin explained. Given how bad Hector’s condition was, it would take a miracle to save him.

“That’s not what I want to hear! I want my husband to get better!” Jessica snapped.

“She’s right. If you can’t help him, let us take over,” another voice chimed in.

Just then, a group of people walked into the room. They were led by a chubby, middle-aged man, followed by Quentin and a woman in a fancy dress.

“What are you doing here, Trent?” Jessica asked, surprised.

The Harmon family had three brothers: Trent, the oldest, Jacob, the middle, and Hector, the youngest. Hector, being the most capable, was the head of the family.

“I heard Hector was sick, so I found a famous doctor,” Trent said, pointing to a man behind him. A blond man in a coat stepped forward, holding a medical case.

“This is Dr. Peter Shillingford,” Trent introduced with a smile. “Dr. Shillingford is one of the best doctors in the world and teaches at Harvard Medical School. He’s known for treating all kinds of illnesses. I’m sure Hector will be safe now that he’s here.”

“A Harvard professor?” Jessica’s face brightened at the news. It made sense that someone with such a prestigious background would have excellent skills.

There was no way the doctors in their country could be better than Rhys.

“What are you waiting for, Rhys? Step aside! Your skills can’t compete with Dr. Peter,” Trent said with a sneer.

“I’m not underestimating him, but he won’t be able to treat this,” Dustin replied calmly. The poison inside Hector was a mix of witchcraft and parasitic poison. No matter how advanced Western medicine was, this was beyond their capabilities.

“Humph! What a fool!” Quentin snapped. “Just because you’re a loser doesn’t mean Dr. Peter is. Go away! Don’t delay Hector’s treatment!”

“Jessica, what were you thinking? How could you trust a quack doctor? What if Hector suffers side effects? Who will take responsibility for that?” Trent asked, clearly upset.

“You’re right,” Jessica said with a sheepish smile. She turned to Dustin and said, “Dustin, get out of Dr. Peter’s way.”

“Mrs. Harmon, I promise I can save Mr. Harmon’s life, but I can’t guarantee the same for anyone else,” Dustin warned.

“Don’t tell me you think you’re better than Dr. Peter. What a joke!” Quentin laughed. “Dr. Peter is one of the best international professors of medicine. And you? You don’t even have a medical license. What gives you the courage to challenge him?”

“Things from overseas aren’t necessarily better. Besides, traditional medicine isn’t inferior to modern medicine,” Dustin replied firmly.

“I’ve heard of traditional medicine before. It’s just a way to trick patients, isn’t it?” Dr. Peter’s smug voice interrupted. Although his tone wasn’t the best, his words were clear.

“You’re right! I knew…”

“You’d be able to tell!” Quentin smiled and gave Peter a thumbs-up. “Modern medicine is the best. Traditional medicine is just old news now. People only use it to trick others these days.”

Dustin narrowed his eyes. “I don’t mind you looking down on me, but don’t look down on traditional medicine. Ignorant people like you don’t even know how powerful it can be.”

“How about we have a small competition since you seem so unsure?” Peter suggested with a smirk.

“How would that work?” Dustin asked.

“See this patient right here? We’ll each come up with our own treatment plans. Whoever helps him the quickest wins. The loser has to admit they’re a fraud and give up practicing medicine,” Peter taunted.

“Are you sure you want to set the stakes so high?” Dustin raised an eyebrow.

“Why? Are you scared?” Peter sneered. “I’ll drop it if you admit that traditional medicine is just a scam.”

“Scared?” Dustin shook his head. “Well, I might be a little worried that you’ll start crying.”
