An Understated Dominance - Chapter 448
Jessica glared at Peter. “That’s strange. We’ve tested our antidote many times. It shouldn’t have failed.” Peter felt a knot of worry in his stomach.
“What do we do now?” Jessica asked, frowning. “This place isn’t equipped for this. There’s nothing more I can do.” Peter replied earnestly.
“So you’re saying you can’t help at all?” Jessica’s expression darkened. The man she thought could save her husband now seemed like a fraud.
“Why don’t you come up with another solution, Dr. Peter?” Quentin suggested.
“It’s pointless. The technology here is too outdated. I can only help him back in my country,” Peter said, pride swelling in his chest for his homeland.

“Just admit you can’t do it and stop blaming our facilities or technology,” Dustin shot back coolly.
“As if you could treat something I can’t!” Peter scoffed.
“This is the difference between traditional and modern medicine. You need all kinds of equipment, while we just use our hands and some silver needles,” Dustin replied calmly.
“That’s ridiculous! Do you think you’re some kind of god?” Peter asked, casting a doubtful glance at him. As one of the top doctors in the world, he looked down on charlatans like Dustin.
“I don’t know about God, but I know I can help,” Dustin replied confidently.
“Fine! Let’s see how a quack like you treats patients,” Peter said, anger rising in him.
“Exactly! Enough talk! You need to help Uncle Hector first!” Quentin added.
“Alright. Watch me!” Dustin said.
He unbuttoned Hector’s shirt and took out his silver needles. After examining Hector’s body closely, he carefully inserted several needles into key pressure points around the man’s midsection. Once all the needles were in place, he flicked his finger, setting the dozens of needles in motion.
The device began to vibrate at a high frequency. Soon, dark blood trickled from the spots where the needles had been placed, quickly turning into a steady stream of bright red blood. Then, Dustin took a pill and placed it in Hector’s mouth.
As Hector’s stomach started to rumble, Dustin slapped his hand on his midsection. Suddenly, Hector jumped up and spat out a mouthful of dark blood, which hit the floor with a sizzle.
The people in the room were stunned when they noticed a cluster of wiggling red maggots swimming in the pool of blood. It was a horrifying sight.
“What’s happening?” someone exclaimed.

The crowd exchanged confused looks. They never expected Hector to have so many maggots in his stomach.
“This is the mystic poison I mentioned. Do you believe me now?” Dustin exhaled slowly and turned to Jessica.
Jessica frowned but didn’t respond.
“How did you do that?” Peter asked, staring at Dustin in disbelief.
After throwing up the dark blood, Hector appeared to be fine again. His complexion had returned to normal, and his breathing was steady.
“This is traditional medicine. You wouldn’t understand,” Dustin replied casually.
Peter felt embarrassed. He hadn’t expected the ordinary doctor he had mocked to be so skilled. Was this really the power of traditional medicine?
