An Understated Dominance - Chapter 451
In the backyard, a beautiful woman sat gracefully on a bridge over the pond, watching the fish swim below. Her feet dangled in the air, occasionally touching the water’s surface. Bathed in warm sunlight, she looked like a fairy, captivating everyone around her. Even the bright flowers in the garden seemed dull next to her beauty.
Suddenly, she tossed a handful of fish food into the pond. Instantly, a swarm of colorful fish rushed to the surface, splashing water everywhere as they fought for the food. “I envy you fish,” she sighed, her smile fading. “You get to live freely, while I can’t even figure out what I want.”
“Who says you can’t?” a familiar voice called out from behind her. The woman froze, then chuckled at herself. “Am I really starting to imagine things in broad daylight?”
“Imagine? It can’t be that bad,” the voice replied again.
This time, she turned around slowly and saw a man stepping into the sunlight. It was Dustin.

“W-what are you doing here?” Natasha asked, her heart racing with joy. She had missed him dearly during her time alone in her room, which had left her feeling down.
“I promised I would come find you in Millsburg if you didn’t return to Swinton. I’m keeping that promise,” Dustin said with a gentle smile.
“You’re the best, dear!” Natasha beamed, forgetting all about the fish food. She jumped into his arms, as happy as the fish splashing around in the pond.
Dustin finally felt his nervousness fade away as he breathed in Natasha’s familiar scent. He had been worried ever since she left Swinton, and his anxiety only grew when he heard she was going to marry Tyler. Now that he finally got to see her, he felt much more at ease.
“Ahem. Mind your manners,” a stern voice said from behind them.
Dustin and Natasha turned around to see a middle-aged woman standing behind Ruth.
“Mrs. Davys, I want to talk to my friend. You can go now,” Natasha said, waving her away.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Natasha. Mr. Harmon asked me to keep an eye on you two,” Mrs. Davys replied, shaking her head.
“Why is that stubborn old man being so careful? Does he think we’re going to run off together?” Natasha huffed.
Mrs. Davys lowered her head and didn’t respond.
