Seeing Quentin die so suddenly left the crowd in shock. Their eyes widened, and disbelief filled their faces. No one could believe Dustin would actually kill someone over a simple misunderstanding. He acted quickly and brutally, not giving Quentin a chance to plead for his life. Shouldn’t every hostage have a chance to negotiate first? Why did he choose to kill someone without even speaking? Dustin was completely unpredictable.

“It’s over. It’s really over this time,” Ruth said, smacking her forehead and closing her eyes. Dustin was just a suspect before, but now he was a murderer, no matter what the truth was. From that moment on, he became the Harmon family’s enemy. After a brief silence, the crowd erupted in anger.

“How dare you kill someone with all of us watching! Today will be your last day!”

“Is he crazy? How could he be so bold as to kill a member of the Harmon family in front of everyone? He’s a lunatic!”

“Burning bridges with the Harmon family like that? I’ve never seen anyone so extreme.”

Dustin’s actions turned the family gathering into chaos. Some people were shocked, others shouted angrily, and a few even admired his boldness.

“You fool! You absolute fool!” Seeing his son’s body, Trent was so furious that he coughed up blood and fell to the floor.

“How dare you kill my nephew! I’ll tear you apart!” Jacob shouted once he regained his senses. “What are you waiting for? Someone kill him!”

“Stop! Everyone stop!” A woman’s voice cut through the chaos. It was Natasha, rushing back after being pulled away earlier. She pushed through the crowd and stood in front of Dustin, ready to defend him.

“Natasha! What are you doing? You can’t possibly be defending that…”

“Murderer!” Jacob shouted, filled with anger.

“Natasha! Move aside! That man has lost his mind!” Jessica yelled in a panic.

“I saw what happened. If you all hadn’t pushed him too far, Dustin wouldn’t have made such a mistake,” Natasha said, trying to defend him.

“This is ridiculous! He killed your cousin! How can you defend him? Are you even part of the Harmon family?!” Jacob was furious.

“That’s right! You’re blind to defend a murderer!” someone else shouted.

“You must be working with him!” another added.

Natasha’s defense of Dustin angered the Harmons even more. They saw her as a traitor.

“Dustin! You need to take me hostage! It’s the only way you can get out of here alive!” Natasha whispered. She realized that this was the only plan that might save him.

“It’s not that serious. Just give me three minutes, and I can explain everything,” Dustin said with a slight smile. Natasha’s willingness to protect him warmed his heart.

“What’s there to explain? Quentin is dead. No one will believe you!” Natasha replied anxiously. She was worried that their act wouldn’t hold up, and she wished she could just end it all with a knife.

“As long as you believe me,” Dustin said calmly.

“What exactly are you planning?” Natasha asked, frowning. She couldn’t understand how he could stay so calm when everything had escalated so quickly.
