An Understated Dominance - Chapter 462
“The mastermind?” Everyone’s eyes turned to the beautiful lady when they heard this. If it had been any other time, they would have dismissed it as nonsense. But after everything they had seen, they had to take his words seriously. They had just witnessed a corpse moving with unexpected energy. At this point, anything seemed possible.
“Hey, miracle doctor, I haven’t done anything to you, have I? Why are you accusing me?” the beautiful lady said, frowning with concern.
“Dustin, you shouldn’t accuse someone without solid proof!” Hector warned, his voice serious. He had just lost his son, and now his wife was being blamed. This was adding to his pain.
“That’s right! What proof do you have to say our sister-in-law is involved?” Jacob shouted.
“I wouldn’t accuse someone without a good reason,” Dustin replied, looking intently at the woman. “Quentin’s body has a unique scent, and she has the same smell, just much stronger. If you don’t believe me, come and see for yourselves.”

A few ladies nearby moved closer and sniffed the air around her. They nodded in agreement. “He’s right! She does have a special scent, and it’s the same as Quentin’s!”
Everyone’s expressions changed, and they looked at the woman with suspicion.
“I’ve always used my own fragrances, and Quentin is my son! It’s normal for my scent to be on him!” she explained, trying to defend herself.
“The scent is just a point of suspicion. It isn’t solid evidence and doesn’t prove anything,” Hector said, shaking his head.
felt a wave of frustration wash over him.
“It doesn’t make sense to blame someone just because of a scent,” he said.
Dustin stepped closer to Celeste, examining her as he spoke. “But that’s not all,” he continued. “People who practice the mystic arts are different. They feed the poisonous insects they breed with their own blood. Over time, this changes their bodies.”
“What kind of changes?” Hector asked, curious.
“Ordinary people have red blood, but those in the mystic arts have black, poisonous blood. If you check her blood, the truth will come out,” Dustin replied casually.
“That’s nonsense!” Celeste shouted, her voice rising. “You can’t just check my blood! That’s ridiculous!”
“Celeste, it would be wise to take the test to prove you’re innocent,” Hector suggested gently.
“What? Do you really believe what he said?” Celeste asked, feeling hurt.
“This is serious, Celeste. We need your cooperation,” Jacob added firmly.
—
“Why are you all ganging up on me? Are you just going to stand by while they treat me this way?” Celeste said, tears in her eyes as she turned to Trent for support.
“Jacob! Hector! I’m your older brother! Show me some respect!” Trent shouted, anguish evident in his voice. He had just lost his son, and now they were turning against his wife. He couldn’t handle it.
“Trent! You need to think about the bigger picture!” Hector said seriously. “If Celeste is innocent, I will apologize publicly!”
“Exactly, Trent. This affects our whole family. A quick test on her blood will set everyone’s minds at ease,” Jacob urged.
“Fine! You all seem to have been fooled by this fool!” Trent said through gritted teeth. Then, he took a deep breath, trying to calm himself.
“Fine! If you want to test Celeste’s blood, let’s do it. But if she’s innocent, I’ll cut this brat’s tongue out!” Trent said angrily.
“Sure,” Dustin replied.
“Honey, you know I can’t handle the sight of blood,” the woman said, looking scared.
“Don’t worry. It’ll be quick. Once we prove your innocence, I’ll make sure he pays!” Trent assured her confidently.
“Let’s check her blood.” Hector waved his hand, and two women quickly stepped forward to take a sample from Celeste.
But just before they could start, Celeste sighed. “I can’t believe I’m getting exposed so soon! What a waste of my great acting skills.”
“What?” Trent asked, surprised.
