An Understated Dominance - Chapter 469
Tyler leaned back in his seat, resting with his eyes closed. He had a calm yet dangerous presence.
“Tyler! That terrible girl Natasha has gone too far! We need to put her in her place!” Jayla exclaimed from beside him, still upset about Natasha’s actions. She believed her brother was an amazing person who deserved so much more. Natasha should have been grateful that Tyler even wanted to marry her. Instead, she had called off their engagement in front of everyone, which was a huge embarrassment!
“Say something, Tyler! She cheated on you! Aren’t you angry about that?” Jayla’s frustration grew with Tyler’s silence. His fiancée had been unfaithful and was now pregnant with another man’s child. That was something any man would struggle to accept!
“There’s no point in getting upset,” Tyler replied coolly. “I’m not marrying Natasha because I have feelings for her. I see potential in her, and the pregnancy doesn’t change that.”
“Are you serious, Tyler? She cheated on you! Doesn’t that bother you?” Jayla couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

“I only care about results. It doesn’t matter how I get there. I will marry Natasha, and that’s that. Anyone who tries to stop me will regret it,” Tyler said, his voice as emotionless as ever.
“You’ve changed, Tyler,” Jayla said, feeling uneasy. After two years apart, she noticed he was becoming more distant. It was concerning to see her brother so unaffected by the betrayal of his fiancée.
Fiancée. Now, she found him quite frightening.
“Jayla, what do you know about the man who was with Natasha?” Tyler asked, changing the subject.
“His name is Dustin Rhys. He’s a doctor and recently won a Crimson Gem flower at an auction. We had a little fight about it,” Jayla explained. After their argument, she looked into him and discovered nothing unusual.
“The Crimson Gem flower is very valuable. I want it,” Tyler said casually. “Have some of our guys take it and deal with him while they’re at it.”
“Absolutely!” Jayla’s eyes sparkled with excitement. She had wanted revenge on him for a long time. With her brother’s backing, she felt confident things would go her way.
Meanwhile, Dustin was on his way home when his phone rang. It was Dahlia calling.
“Dustin, where have you been? I haven’t heard from you in days. I stopped by the medical center, but Maximus said you were missing,” she said.
“I’ve been busy in Millsburg and won’t be back for a while,” Dustin replied.
“Really? What a coincidence! I’m in Millsburg too! I just got off the train. I called to say goodbye, and I didn’t expect you to arrive before me!” Dahlia sounded surprised.
“What are you doing in Millsburg?” Dustin asked, surprised.
“I’m here to take over as chairperson of the Nicholson family’s business, Cardinal Group,” Dahlia explained.
“Oh, I see.” Dustin thought about it and realized that it made sense for the company to be in Millsburg. After all, many important people and big companies were based there.
Many businesses decided to set up their operations here.
“Would you like to have lunch together? I have something I want to talk about,” Dahlia said.
“Sure! Where should we go?” Dustin replied.
“Spices Diner,” Dahlia suggested.
“Sounds good. I’ll be there soon.” Dustin ended the call and instructed the chauffeur to drive directly to Spices Diner.
