Dustin was feeling unsure. “Dahlia, you know I’m just average at martial arts. I’ve never been a Chief Security Officer before. Are you sure I’m the right person for that job?” He was good at fighting and helping people with their health, but he had no experience in running a company. It didn’t sit well with him.

“You just need to be good at fighting,” Dahlia said with a smile. “You don’t have to do much else. Just keep an eye on safety and protect me.”

Dustin was at a loss for words.

“Hmph! If you don’t want to do it, that’s fine,” she said, pouting. “I’ll just die quickly if someone tries to hurt me. It’s not a big deal.”

“Come on, it’s not that serious,” he replied, his eyes twitching.

Dahlia continued, “You’re right, it’s not serious at all. Nicholson Corp. has billions in assets. I don’t need protection as the new chairman. It’s not like anyone is after their shares. Just remember to collect my body if I get assassinated.”

“Stop talking like that. Alright, I’ll do it, okay?” He gave a bitter smile. This woman was clever.

“Don’t feel pressured. I don’t want you to regret your choice,” Dahlia said.

Dustin shook his head. “I’m not feeling pressured. I won’t regret it.”

“Alright! You’re the one who said it; I didn’t push you,” she said, beaming.

He felt trapped. “I think I’ve fallen into your trap.”

“You should be thankful! There are people who would love to be in your position,” she said proudly.

“Not to mention, I’ll treat you well. I didn’t bring any gifts today, so I’ll…”

“Let me give you a little reward first.” Dahlia stood on her tiptoes and quickly kissed Dustin on the cheek.

As she pulled back, a light scent lingered in the air. Dustin froze and looked at her, surprised. “Dahlia, you seem like a troublemaker now.”

“Don’t guys like troublemaker girls?” Dahlia shot back with a smirk, but her cheeks turned bright red. Unlike Natasha, she couldn’t act as freely.

Dustin was about to respond when his phone rang. It was a call from Patrick.

“Hello, Dustin? Sorry to interrupt,” Patrick said.

“It’s fine. How can I help you, Patrick?” Dustin replied warmly.

“Well, my grandfather’s condition has improved, but he’s been coughing a lot lately and seems a bit down. I remember you mentioned he needed some medicinal wine?”

Dustin paused, confused at first. Then it clicked. “Oh no! I’m sorry! I’ve been so busy these last couple of days, I completely forgot. But don’t worry; I had it brewed already. I’ll send someone to deliver it right away.”

“Thanks, Dustin. I appreciate it,” Patrick said, sounding relieved.

“It’s no trouble at all. I should have remembered,” Dustin said, feeling a bit embarrassed. The Harmons’ annual family gathering had made him forget about the Hill family.

After hanging up, he called Edmund. “Hello, Mr. Robinson. Can you check if the medicinal wine I left in the kitchen is still there?”

“Sure, it’s here. What would you like me to do with it?” Edmund replied quickly.

“I can’t leave right now. Could you please take the medicinal wine to Patrick Hill at the Hill family residence?”

“Of course, I’ll take care of it,” Edmund said immediately.

“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it right away!”

Thirty minutes later, a Mazda pulled up slowly in front of the Hill family’s home. Edmund stepped out carefully, holding a bottle of medicinal wine in his arms.

“Hey! What are you doing here?” shouted the guard at the gate.

Edmund gave a polite smile. “Sir, I’m delivering wine to Sir Patrick Hill on Mr. Rhys’ orders.” In a wealthy family like the Hills, even the guards felt a sense of superiority.
