Dustin frowned, feeling a mix of anger and confusion. “So, it was the Hills who did this?” He had sent Edmund to deliver medicinal wine for Paul, hoping to help, but instead, they had attacked Edmund. No matter the reason, he wouldn’t let this go easily.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Robinson,” Dustin said, guilt weighing on him. “If I hadn’t sent you there, you wouldn’t have had to suffer like this.”

Edmund forced a smile, trying to ease Dustin’s mind. “It’s not your fault. I was just unlucky.”

Dustin’s resolve grew stronger. “Don’t worry, Mr. Robinson. I’ll make them pay for what they did to you, no matter who it is!”

“Mr. Rhys, the Hills are a powerful family. We can’t afford to make them angry. Please, don’t act rashly.” Edmund’s voice was filled with worry. He could handle being hurt, but he couldn’t bear the thought of Dustin being harmed because of him.

“Just focus on getting better. I’ll take care of this,” Dustin said, giving Edmund a pill before he stood up to leave.

“Dustin, where are you going?” Abigail asked, feeling a sense of unease.

“I’m going to get revenge,” he replied, giving her shoulder a reassuring pat.

“Take care of your dad. Call me if anything happens.” With that, he left.

About thirty minutes later, Dustin stood at the front gates of the Hill family home. He took in the grandeur of the villa as he approached, his face serious.

“Stop right there! Who are you?” a guard shouted, noticing him.

Dustin replied coldly, “Are you the ones who have been standing guard all day?”

“So what if we are?” the guard said, tilting his chin up. He didn’t seem intimidated by Dustin’s presence, especially because of the clothes he was wearing.

It was clear that Dustin didn’t come from a wealthy family.

“Did you guys beat up a man delivering medicinal wine today?” Dustin asked once more.

Suddenly, the guard’s face lit up with understanding. “Oh, you mean that old man? He ran into Young Mr. Hill, and things got rough for him.”

“You mean Torben Hill?” Dustin narrowed his eyes.

The guard shot him a fierce glare. “Hey! Who are you to call Young Mr. Hill by his full name? That’s Sir Hill to you.”

“Why is that?” Dustin pressed.

“Why?” The guard looked confused for a moment before bursting into laughter. “Are you joking? Does Young Mr. Hill need a reason to hurt someone? Peasants like you are beneath his dogs. He could kill you without a second thought, let alone beat you up!”

“Is this how the Hill family operates? Disregarding human life without reason?” Dustin’s expression turned icy.

“Who do you think you are?” The guard looked him up and down. “You aren’t that old man’s son, are you? Here for revenge? Open your eyes and see where you are!”

“Kid, this isn’t a place for you to act so tough. Get lost! Otherwise, your father will be the last of his line!” The other guards laughed mockingly, seeing Dustin as just a fool. They were used to their bullying and didn’t care about common people.

“Last question. Did you join in the beating?” Dustin’s face was calm, but his eyes were cold.

“So what if we did? Get out of here before we make you regret it!” the guard shouted.

“It’s good that you admitted it,” Dustin replied, determination in his voice. Without another word, he landed a powerful punch to the guard’s abdomen.

The impact was like a truck hitting a wall, and a loud crash echoed as the guard flew back.

He crashed hard into the gate, the strong metal bending from the impact. The guard was pinned against the gate, his body broken and blood pouring from his mouth and nose. He died instantly.
