“You can resign if you want, but that doesn’t mean you won’t face consequences for your past actions,” Dahlia said coldly.

“Mr. Levin, if I remember correctly, you took 20 million from the company, and you still haven’t paid it back. You’ll need to serve a long time in prison for that.”

The bald man at the front of the group froze, sweating heavily. He wondered how Dahlia knew about his crime, especially since he thought he had covered his tracks well.

Ignoring his distress, Dahlia continued, “Ms. Wagner, as the Director of Finance, you are in serious trouble. The company has been making profits every year, but since you took over, our books show losses. Plus, you’ve been asking headquarters for money for your personal expenses. Your greed is unbelievable!”

“Y-you! That’s ridiculous!” a woman in expensive clothes shouted at Dahlia, looking as if someone had just stepped on her tail.

“Don’t believe me? Take a look for yourself,” Dahlia replied, tossing several files with her findings onto the table.

“What?” The woman’s face turned pale as she examined the files, a chill running down her spine.

But Dahlia wasn’t finished. She looked around the room and called out each person’s wrongdoings. “Mr. Price, you have massive gambling debts, right? If not, why would you make a deal worth 100 million for just 30 million?”

“And you, Mr. Gillis, you have family members working in the company. Do you think they’ll keep their jobs if you resign?”

“Oh, I almost forgot. Mr. Regan, you seem to have a close relationship with the ladies in the human resources department. How…”

“How would your wife react to that?”

Dahlia quickly listed the questionable actions of many senior executives. The room fell silent as everyone realized she had done her homework and had all the evidence ready.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I won’t stop you from resigning, but I will send everything I found to Regulus Nicholson. Your future will then lie in his hands, whether it leads to bankruptcy or jail time. However, you have a choice: you can stay and work under me. If you do, I won’t hold your past actions against you. Now, the decision is yours—stay or leave.” With that, Dahlia stepped aside.

The executives exchanged nervous glances, fear replacing their earlier confidence. They understood they were facing a powerful new chairman.

After a pause, the group that had planned to walk out returned to their seats, heads down, their arrogance gone.

“Amazing,” Dustin thought, impressed by Dahlia’s clever mix of threats and incentives to bring the protesting staff back in line.

“Mr. Hoffman, do you have anything to add?” Dahlia asked, focusing on Hank, knowing she needed to bring him under control.

“That was quite impressive,” he said, clapping his hands and laughing. “Dahlia Nicholson, I must admit you’re something else. But you’ll need more than a few tricks to succeed.”
