“Oh? Mr. Hoffman, what brilliant ideas do you have now?” Dahlia asked. She had gathered evidence against most of the senior executives, except for him. But just because Hank Hoffman seemed clean didn’t mean he was innocent. He was just very good at hiding his wrongdoings.

“Well, I do have some advice for you,” he said, a cigar in his mouth. “If you want to be our chairman, you need to build your reputation and show you can make profits. That’s how you’ll win our approval.”

The other executives nodded. They all knew that money was important, and their main goal was to make more of it.

“I’m confident I can handle the chairman role,” she replied casually. “I can’t promise much, but if I become chairman, I’ll ensure everyone here gets a 50% salary increase and a 20% boost in their annual bonuses. How does that sound?”

The room buzzed with excitement. A 50% pay raise and a 20% bonus increase sounded very generous.

“Dahlia, we’re practical people, and we don’t like empty promises. Anyone can make promises,” Hank said with a shrug.

Dahlia replied, “So, what do you want from me?”

“The company is facing three major challenges,” Hank said, leaning in. “If you can solve all three, we will accept you as our new chairman. If not, you’ll need to step aside for someone else.”

She raised an eyebrow. “What are the three challenges? Tell me.”

“First, you need to get the Flame Dragon Gang to pay their $70 million debt within seven days,” Hank said with a smirk.

“The Flame Dragon Gang?” Dahlia thought hard. A gang that owed that much money to Nicholson Corp. would certainly be tough to deal with.

“Why? Are you scared? You can always back out,” Hank teased.

“Are you scared?” Hank teased her. But Dahlia didn’t respond to his taunts. Instead, she got straight to the point. “Tell me about the second challenge.”

“You need to secure the Brooks Corporation’s project, which is worth 500 million dollars,” Hank replied.

“What’s the third challenge?” she asked.

“Hah! I’ll tell you after you finish the first two challenges. Otherwise, it won’t mean anything,” he laughed.

“Fine. I’m not afraid of challenges that involve the company. Just remember to keep your promise,” Dahlia reminded him.

“I’m a man of my word. If you can complete all the challenges, I’ll support you,” he said, leaning back confidently.

“Great. We’ll see about that.” She took one last look around the room before leaving, knowing she had to prove herself to Hank. If she didn’t, the senior executives wouldn’t take her seriously.

In the meeting room, people began to whisper. “Do you really think she can do it?” one person asked.

“No way! We couldn’t even get back the 70 million from the Flame Dragon Gang. How can she do it in just seven days?” another replied.

“Exactly! The Flame Dragon Gang is ruthless. They’ll hurt her if she goes to them for the money!” someone else chimed in.

“The first challenge is tough enough. Plus, she has to deal with the stubborn Brooks Corporation,” another added.

“Mr. Hoffman, your idea of letting her take on this challenge is brilliant!” one of the executives said.

Hank just smiled, a cigar in his mouth, as he listened to the chatter. He was confident that Dahlia, a member of the Nicholson Family branch, wouldn’t stand a chance against him.

Meanwhile, Dahlia and Dustin took their seats in the next meeting, ready to tackle the challenges ahead.

In the chairman’s office, a beautiful woman in uniform stepped inside, her heels clicking on the floor as she walked.
